A squirrels nest works amazingly when you can’t get a fire started. Pretty much make a shelter of leafs and sticks and moss. Make it like a tomb to where there’s just enough room to crawl in and plug the hole. Your body heat will not escape and I slept in 23 degree weather in ohio in one.
