Listener: Running To Cars Theory

A listener writes “Wes, Listen to the podcast every day. I have a theory on the reports of sasquatches running toward or in front of cars.

The Sasquatch may be practicing or learning to chase down game. It may also be similar to a bluff charge as far as showing to another or itself, its dominance or ability to run down the strange machine going down the road. Just an idea. I also recently came across a video on YouTube of a bear, clearly a bear, going by a house in a very strange low crawl type manner.

I continue to try to locate it again but the bear is on its belly or dang close to it and has all four limbs stretched out pushing along the ground almost as a kid would when laying on a skateboard.”

I have often wondered if they are juveniles playing a game of dare with the cars where one will wait until the last second to run out in front of the car while the others watch and heckle each other like teenage humans will do.

With a juvenile that may just be the case sometimes Darrel B. This blog is a question I have put forth a couple of times lately, as several of the recent episodes the witness had them go in front of the vehicle. A good percentage of all sightings are witnesses seeing them cross the road. It is hard for me to believe they do not know what the hazard of getting hit by a vehicle would be, but maybe they do not know. Surely their hearing is good enough to hear the sound of a vehicle. I would think sometimes they get so fixated on their objective, whether chasing game, ect., they do not realize a vehicle is there. I have read and heard a few times that the Sasquatch looked shocked to see a vehicle in it’s path. Sometimes maybe they go so fast in the forest and it is full steam ahead, not knowing they are crossing a road. I would llove to read what theories others have on this topic.
