First I think

That guy that puts love in his heart and quit carrying a gun during camping, because St. Christopher will protect him, is future BF food. They shouldn’t be talking about how much human DNA they have and that why you shouldn’t kill them, how about talking about how much monster DNA they have compared to the smaller amount of human DNA. How much human DNA did the cannibals on Pacific Islands have and they still eat people? How much DNA do serial killers have before it is OK to kill them… If a ten foot 900 lb monster comes at me, well needless to say- I will put a high velocity round through its head and not worry about DNA… But someone saw one carry its shot friend away to burry it, there for it is human. How do you know it was not mearly bringing home dinner?

My only problem with this is the host had already made his mind up! I think we all know they need a “specimen”, bones, body, or pelt. So far the so called science that has been done has had definite agendas – Sykes, Ketchem, even on a couple of others. I wish anyone luck who has to deal with them if you don’t have an “insider” to get it through the labs correctly.
Nathan E
This was a good show, a good debate with the host adroitly steering the discussion and manufacturing a dialog. I really liked having these gentlemen, representatives of their respective camps, sharing their views and giving their reasons why. I do believe the host had his own ideas on the subject, but he did his best to give equal time and be polite about it.
By the way Wes either of these guys would be good for an interview at a conference sometime, right? 😉
SHANNON D
Great discussion!! While tend to fall into Jim L’s camp, Web did have some good points on the science end. Thanks for posting this!

I have watched this before and i’m on board with Jim Landsdale. We need a body to prove their existence, even though there has to be protocols if there is a body brought forward or it would just be covered up!!
Erwin A
Wow that was great. I’m with the kill camp. One male, nuisance creature specimen for science. Nathan E, good suggestion to Wes. Either one would make a good Sasquatch Chronicles guest.
Robert P
I heard this argument in Honobia last October. How about some one get a few good pictures then talk about no kill. Kill? Hell you can’t see one for more than two seconds
Lee F
I would have to agree with the kill camp under the parameters of nuisance male only. I do not advocate unfettered killing of these creatures, but certainly believe in protecting my family, home and self.
I think setting up a hammock with love in your heart in a known squatch area unarmed is foolhardy to say the least, and I fear it may end badly one day.
Didn’t that guy who lived with grizzlies eventually get killed by one?
Avis B
Poor guy going out there and just being… with the BF… is like going out to an area with grizzlies after you had a bath in Bacon grease.. I fear it may end badly one day…. Oh and this is why I listen to Wes’s podcast from real people that have seen them and know what they can do… this had a lot of Bull in it.. Drives me crazy… talking about what we should do and not do.. and he has never seen one.. never had to deal with somebody that is scared out of there mind because of BF…. I would love to drop him off in the thicket for a night or 2 and see what he says after that.. I agree with Mike Wooley .. Let them be .. but as soon as they come to my home and kill my stock and try and get in my house.. that is a different story..
Michael L
Yes, Damn straight…

I think we all remember the story of timothy Treadwell that went to live peacefully with the grizzlies only to end up getting him and his fiance eaten by one. If the government would only come out and say okay they’re real. We have bodies, pics, and DNA to show we wouldn’t be having this discussion at all. However I too am on the kill side if one is a crazy bag lady or one wants to come up within 10 feet of your kids and scream at them etc.
Well thats my two cents…….not worth two cents but what can I do….lol

this host sucks he talks way to much

I’m with JL, somebody has to protect the public because the government and these bleeding heart scientists aren’t. yeah, we’re gonna read about this guy’s body parts found in a debris field around his hammock one day; just like Josey Wales said, “to hell with them fellas, buzzards gotta eat, same as the worms”. this scientist i fear is destined to be worm food. i think he’s full of BS, his pro life agenda is pointed at a monster that even himself is afraid of.
Wes, you gotta get this JL GCBRO guy on for an interview dude, i believe you guys are in the same swim lane. Great blog in between shows dude! my mid week SQ fix!!
Patricia B
Hold it, unless your in danger they should not be harmed. The govt knows they exist and many of us know they exist. So we kill one and prove it, we better think outside the box, you want them going extinct? have any idea how many people will kill them just for the thrill of it, good grief they have human DNA.
Jeffrey H
I like Jim, former Vietnam Vet & policeman. If he does get a body (and I’m not arguing for either side here) the nen in black, along with arm forces will take that body away, scare the news stations so not to report it and the body will be taken away before anyone outside the immediate group would have an opportunity to see it. Then what does anyone have. As we have learned from the WesMan, you got to not tell a soul and hide the body in your garage so that you can study it!! Makes a lot of sense!! Don’t tell anyone!! Not even Wes’s hairdresser should know!! Just kiddin Wes!

The odd couple :b

Both sides of the argument are legitimate: shoot it because it’s a menace versus protect it because it’s part human. But, these are only partial arguments. The fact is, nothing short of a body on a slab is going to suffice as imperical evidence enough to get the existence of bigfoot to be taken seriously by the scientific community, the general public and the popularity contestants we call politicians. And, due to the consequences of such evidence, there are obviously those who would prefer that it not happen. Which complicates the already enormously difficult task of dropping and hauling in one of these things. Anyhow, appreciated this talk because it raises some important considerations.
