A listener writes “I had two encounters in the 80’s in Michigan, one visual and one nighttime occurrence.

My first sighting took place in 83 with a group of friends walking back to the house through a field, while exiting a wooded fence row we noticed something crouch quickly in the tall grass next to the tree line, it had its back to us and blended very well with the orchard and Timothy grass, it was late summer. (light to medium brown grass).

As we stared and pointed to it for a couple of the kids in the group who couldn’t find it, it suddenly turned it’s upper body and looked directly at us, well we all screamed, ran and never looked back.

The group averaged around 12 years old, I was 13 at that time, it’s face more resembled an ape but had a much longer face with hair around the face. The hair seemed to be very long.

Second incident was about 3 years later in 86, I had quickly left a girls house at 4am and was jogging down a dirt road (about 3/4 of a mile behind my house), I heard something keeping pace in the woods maybe 40 yards parallel, I stopped and of course it stopped, I ran it ran, I did this twice before crossing a lit dirt intersection to climb a squeaky pasture fence (I grew up on the farm) and kept jogging, again there was something running parallel but now maybe 20 yards away, thing is I never heard anyone climb the fence and again it would stop and start with my movements, after the last stop I bolted through the rest of the field, over another fence, into the corner of the woods and through the yard into the house, gasping for breath while staring out the window. I never saw anything nor did I hear any breathing at any point.”
