A listener writes “Hello Wes. Let me start off by saying I’m a big fan of all of the work you have done trying to open peoples eyes on this subject.
I am 35 years old and I had an encounter with something when I was a teenager in high school. I grew up in southern West Virginia and spent most of my time in the woods.
I lived in greenbrier county wv and to tell you the truth there’s not much to do but hunt and fish. When we weren’t hunting we were out scouting or digging ginseng or ramps (a very potent wild onion that grows in Appalachia, or looking for mushrooms). We trout fished in the mountains all of the time. It was summer in 1998, myself, my brother and our friend Tom were out fishing for native trout. They are a relatively small trout compared to the huge browns and rainbows in most rivers in the greenbrier valley. But they are the best to eat.
We were fishing an area known as little clear creek. This area is very rugged and cut off, you have to travel old mine roads to the back country which is completely void of any human habitation. It’s a trip that we had taken countless times before but on this particular day our perception of all we that was real would quickly evaporate. We had been fishing for the entire day without much luck when we came to a deep hole in the creek. We were all tired of not fishing except for my little brother who was never tired of fishing.
Tom and I decide to just wade into the water sit down and cook ourselves off. My brother, Alex, was standing on the bank tying a new lure onto his line. Tom and I sat in the water and talk when we heard what sounded like, I’m sure you’ve heard this before, a bulldozer crashing through the woods.it seemed to be making as much noise as possible. It was not trying to be quiet at all. We all looked at each other confused because this was defiantly no deer.
There are however a lot of big black bear in this area but rarely are they confrontational. As we looked around at each tom and I both looked at Alex when a rock about the size of a briefcase landed in the water right between us. The noise had came from the opposite side of the bank than my brother was we were looking at him when his eyes glanced upward toward the incoming rock. It was at this time that we heard the loudest growl/scream I have ever heard.
It’s hard to explain the noise. But, it was terrifying, gut wrenching, and absolutely evil. There was a high wall on the side of the bank the roar came from. Roar is the only word I know to describe it. After the rock was thrown a tree that was about the same circumference as a basket begin to shake violently. The tree was slamming we could not see what was shaking the the tree because of the high wall. We turned to look at Alex and he was literally turned to stone. Well, we wasted no time getting out of the water, as we ran onto the bank we turned to see just what had frozen my brother.
Immediately we knew this was no bear, it was solid black, it wasn’t ten feet tall maybe six and half to seven feet, but still enormous, compared to us. The face was very visible it had the look of a person who had been smacked in the face with a shovel. The nose was very flat, a large forehead that topped into a cone and a huge lower jaw. The eyes,,,, the eyes were as hollow and black as space. The lips were pealed back exposing its teeth,, the only animal the face could compare to would be a gorilla.
It had very long arms which stretched out when we made eye contact. We all stood stunned, to scared to move. It then went down on all fours and lunges to a sliding stop and. He began tearing at the earth. It was ripping huge chunks of ground and throwing it in all directions. It clawed screamed and tore an area in about a ten foot this thing was pissed it tore at trees and screamed just how you would imagine King Kong to do.
We dropped everything and hauled ass. As we ran we heard an enormous splash and it sounded like it was continuing to thrash around in the water as it was on the bank. We never looked back, we left all of our tackle and rods there and never returned to get them. We kept that to ourselves because we knew no one would believe us. That’s the gods honest truth. The reality of what’s real and what’s not has never been the same.
Thanks for your time Wes…..”

Met some bear hunters from west virginia that run dogs. They said their dogs had hit on tracks before but refused to run that track. They told me they knew know bf lived in that area.

I am a fisherman and the reason I started looking into Bigfoot encounters was because my Cree fishing guides face turned white as we approached an island and I asked him if he was alright, he dropped his head in shame and said Mr. Kenny you are a good man, I have fished with you for several days now, but I need to ask you a question, Do you believe in Bigfoot? He then proceeded to tell me that was his island and other encounters. This guy was as genuine as they come, and made a believer out of me.

Wow…you should come on the show and share some of the encounters he told you about!? Please
