It was a bipedal predator heading my way

A listener writes “I’m not sure how much details you need. I’ll give you the basics. Spring turkey of 2013 was like any other season. Myself and A lifelong friend had been going to the cabin for A few years. Typically sleep was short.

Seems like you are always tired when you are there. Between chores and hunting, sleep was a bit of an after thought. I was lucky enough to fill my tag on Monday, so the rest of the week was dedicated to getting my friend a bird. Since l was tagged out, I wasn’t carrying my shotgun.

We setup on some roosted birds. We heard them fly down. They, of course went to a different location from where we were. My friend had a good idea of where they were. He says he’ll be back with his bird shortly. He went east from where we were. I fell asleep shortly thereafter. I was awoken by noise coming from the west.

At first, I just figured it was my friend returning. It was not. Whatever it was….was making way too much noise. It was definitely bipedal, and making a bee line to me. It was a predator. I’ll save the rest. Hope to hear from you soon.

PS: There was A different incident the following day. We spotted the predator crossing a road. I have much more details on that also.”
