A woman has claimed a yowie tried to attack her on a country road before she fought it off with a cricket bat.
The terrifying beast was supposedly sighted at about 7pm on March 5 in Nimbin, New South Wales, at the Mr Jerusalem National Park. Dean Harrison from Australian Yowie Research (AYR) has been studying the mythical creatures for 20 years and claims to have had many encounters with the hairy beasts.
He documents his data in written and audio witness accounts, news articles, images, and physical evidence, the Northern Star reported. The supposed sighting was recounted on the AYR site and explained how the woman claims she came across the hairy creature.
‘It was after cricket training around 6.30pm and I was driving along a dirt road and went over a cow crossing before I pulled over to an area that was bulldozed and the trees were pushed down on the side of the road to do a wee,’ the woman wrote.
‘I finished my wee when I heard something around me and wasn’t sure what it was.’
The woman then decided to howl to see if it was a wild animal hiding behind the trees.
Shocked at getting a response back to her howling, the woman continued to howl until she ‘got a growl and a grunting’.
The woman pulled out her cricket back ready to take on whatever was hiding in the bush, thinking it was just some ‘smarta** playing a joke on me’.
‘It knocked twice, so I knocked back twice. I knocked again, and it did the same back. I thought stuff this and did a howl and a scream – that’s when everything went pear shaped.
‘I heard thumping coming down the hill…I’ve never heard anything that heavy before, it was like the ground was moving underneath me.’
The mysterious creature was suddenly 10 metres away and was growling and grunting as it made its way towards the woman, she claims.
She quickly jumped into her car and turned on the lights and was shocked to see what was standing in front of her.
‘It was 6 to 7ft tall and full of hair – about 5 inches long – and it had hair down its cleavage and hair around and on top of its breasts. Its eyes the size of golf balls and its hands were huge reaching the knees.
‘It was the scariest thing I’ve ever seen.’
Flashing the car’s headlights on the beast, the woman noticed that it had ‘reddish-blue eyes’. It also had a beard and hair over its top lip, she says
‘It had a big mouth on it…this mouth was 5 to 7 inches long’.
The creature remained in front of the car swaying side-to-side before it ran away.

Oh man, Joe R that made me actually laugh out loud!
Something about those Aussie’s, even the women have bigger balls than most men! Crazy scary encounter for sure. We should send all of our “hipsters” over there for some roughing up the edges. Not hating nor do I think men should be Neanderthals but going out with Wife I see more and more guys with burly beards but have hands like a princess and I worry about our country even more than now! Not sure why the rant, guess it bugged more than I thought? What do I know, just becoming that grumpy old man I guess.

From one grumpy old man to another, I hear ya Tedd!

Indeed that is one courageous Aussie lady, ready to take on a wild beast with a cricket back. Someone send this lady a Louisville slugger. No doubt Tedd their is a concerted effort at the feminization of men in this country, however the digital technology is also playing a big part and I see it everywhere. Maybe in a couple hundred years with the robots being able to take on all physical tasks, our bodies will start to resemble those of the Greys. There are some that think the hybridization program that is in effect is for the alien race to get back to their roots, before technology rendered them with their pathetic current bodies.
Back in 2010 I ran across Dean Harrison’s Bigfoot Site and was amazed. I read every encounter. The Yowie encounters mirror ours in North America and the descriptions are the same. I wondered how did this race of giants get to Australia. The Aboriginal people say they have always been their.

Take it from me, the young blokes in Oz are just as feminised as yours as a rule.
You still get men and women with ‘balls’ (no cricket bat required) in the bush but that is probably true for America as well.
Nimbin is close to the border ranges, one of the thickest, densest forest regions in Oz and full of the hairy blokes (called Doolighal by the Origines). Prime habitat.
To read more encounters check out Dean’s site: http://www.yowiehunters.com.au
Mt Jerusalem, Woodenbong, Nimbin, etc are under the NSW tab, but being close to the border with Queensland there are also plenty of reports listed under Qld as well.

I’ve heard it isn’t a good idea to do much as even whistle when out in the forest, howling and other imitations probably wouldn’t be smart if you aren’t skilled in that department of study when in the wild. But hats off to her for at least being brave enough to linger around after hearing those noises. I wouldn’t be anywhere near a forest alone at or after 7pm
