A listener writes “It was about late 2021, early 2022 in Fernie, B.C. The creature was about my uncles height and my uncles a tall guy so that is what alarmed me when I saw this thing.

I’m from southern Saskatchewan and am used to fields and small hills. I was camping out in BC with my mum and sister and we were taking a hike to get to the the lake that was in this little valley up in the mountains, as we’re about halfway to the lake I realized that I had forgotten something back at the campsite and my mum told me to run back and meet her and my sister at the valley. On my way back I kept hearing knocks and whoops but I just brushed it aside.

I grew up in the country so I was thinking it was just someone looking for there dogs. When I get to the campsite something is hunched over our tent trying to get in it. And I just stood watching it. It was a deep red-brown color and its hair was matted against its elbows like spent a lot of time army crawling. When it stood up and turned around it looked right at me.

I reached for my hunting knife but it wasn’t with me and when I do that motion, reaching for my side, it runs off. And our campsite was fairly big for three people. But this thing crossed the perimeter in one quick stride and it was gone. I don’t know why but I turned around and ran to the valley without grabbing whatever it was I forgot.

I tried telling my mum about it but she wouldn’t listen because who wants to listen to a 16 year old girl going on about this creature she saw in the woods. Last week I told my boyfriend about it and he told me to contact you about my encounter because he said that you have a show about Sasquatch and I thought that if anyone would believe me its you.”
