A listener writes “Growing up down here in the North County suburbs of San Diego I never would have thought it possible to have Sasquatch living down here. Figured if they did exist it was way up in the mountains far away from people.. boy was I wrong!

Based on my sighting and strange interactions with them ever since I was a child. I think they have lived among us and much closer to us for a very, very long time. Much closer than I would have ever thought possible. Looking back on my life growing up in the foothills of SoCal, camping, hiking and fishing. I can think of several close encounters that I possibly had with them without even realizing it.

My sighting happened on a clear summer night with a full moon in 2016. I had left my house around 3AM to go Bass fishing at a local San Diego reservoir down in SE San Diego county. I always let my truck warm up as I’m coasting down the street thru the neighborhood in neutral. As I come up to the main road I plan on pulling to the left and directly across the street into a business parking lot to put something in the cooler in the back of the truck or get a drink out or something (can’t remember exactly). I carefully blow thru the stop sign and coast out into the main road turning left and there standing in the middle of the road about 50 yards away is a big muscular tall person. I could only see the dark silhouette. I looked at him expecting him to move but he was standing there perfectly still as if he just stopped in mid stride.

My first immediate thought was that it was just some homeless guy or someone out for a walk crossing the street and I had surprised them. I glanced back to the right where I was pulling in directly across the street into the parking lot and then glanced back and he was gone. As I sat there thinking about what I had seen it didn’t seem to make sense. The silhouette looked like a very tall, very broad shoulder muscular man. I could see the outline of his muscles in his body arms and legs from 40-50 yards away. He looked like a giant basketball player/ bodybuilder. What I initially mistook for long hair coming off his head down to his shoulders seemed more like traps because I couldn’t see any wavy uneveness or strands. It was just a perfect silhouette, very broad shoulders and thin waist. Very cut! Would have had to be totally naked or just wearing some small bicycle shorts or something.

I got my drink jumped back into the truck and drove down to where I saw him. He looked like he was heading in the dirrection across the street into the overgrown creek area right next the freeway on ramp. I slowly drove by on my turn up the on ramp with my window open and started making woops and different bird sounds almost coming to a stop for a second. Then I took off and went fishing. That was the beginning to several different strange interactions that I believe I had with them coming to my house at night. Nothing spectacular or anything.
