Is that a gorilla?!

A listener writes “I saw Bigfoot along with my friend and two daughters on our way to Georgia from Arizona. It was around 2:00 a.m. coming around a curvy mountainous road in Tennessee.

We were only traveling about 20 mph around a sharp upgraded curve and boom, here stepping over a guardrail was a least 7 1/2 foot tall blackish greyish huge long armed hairy thing carrying a black trash bag which probably came from a campsite or something.

His arms hung low to his knees, he stopped like a deer caught in our bright headlights, he was as tall if not taller than our Chevy van. He stared straight at us and we were looking at him. We were only like 25 feet from him. Saw him clear as day. My oldest daughter came to the front of the van after she heard me and my friend freaking out and said Mom, is that a gorilla?!

He stood there at least 35 40 seconds before he proceeds to cross the road, stepped over the other guardrail and headed down in the woods. I had a camera and a video camera within reach but we were in such shock I didn’t even think to pick them up and use them. All I know is I stared at this thing long enough to know what I and my family saw. I will never forget it. I kick myself in the ass all the time for not clicking a picture. The car that came up behind us as we were stopped, well, I’m sure they saw it too.”

Yes, that’s normally the routes we would take depending what time of year but we decided to do some backroad exploration this time and check out old wooden bridges and small hick towns as we call them. Going up through the Cherokee Nat’l Forest is the most beautiful scenery in its majestic glory in autumn. I’m ready to go back to this location and do some investigating, when I’m up and walking again.

Indeed, we were scared to death still though because this guy was big enough that he , if he did charge at us could’ve very easily rolled us over and down a steep mountain. Thank God, he just stood there like, well are y’all gonna go or can I cross the road. Guess after he realized we weren’t moving it was o.k. to cross, as he did but he kept a watch on us like his head stayed slightly towards us. Most remarkable thing I’ve seen along with my two daughters and best friend.

Pepper N: Please stop kicking yourself in the posterior, it’s not going to help girl!! It may firm it up a bit but other than that it’s not going to help! You are so lucky!!???????????? That might be one of the best ways to see a Bigfoot! In a van where no one is going to get hurt but close enough to see how many cavities it has. I do have one question though, do you think it was a tree hugging Bigfoot out for the evening collecting recyclables that the humans were to lazy to take care of?? Seriously, I’m glad you and your family had a very safe encounter and getting to see a creature that a lot of us only dream about seeing. You are so lucky and I’m very happy for you!

Thank you. Yes, very fortunate and I should stop kicking myself about it but with all the controversy going on, I could’ve been that one person with excellent proof. Seriously, my shock level was over the roof. Astonishment at its best. I’m pretty sure he was scrounging for food in the trash bins down by the river.

Yes, we traveled through Tellico Plains hwy 68, an older road on our way to Coker Creek. It was about five miles before we came into Coker Creek. Beautiful area and there is activity there with people camping and stuff but where we were was isolated, nothing around at least what we could tell. It was two in the morning, pitch black out.
