I am posting this because of one my guests tonight had such a strange encounter I am not sure what to make of it. Steven and his aunt were out hiking and relate an encounter they both had. Both witnesses describe the same thing but have different perspectives on what happened. Was it infrasound or something else?

Cool video! Thanks Wes

Very interesting. There is so much we don’t know about animals, ourselves, and the world in general. As this relates to Sasquatch, I have read many accounts of the Bigfoot’s howl or roar having such a profound effect on people. Could people be “freezing”or disoriented due to infrasound, or just sheer terror? Interesting question. BTW, although not the point of the video, I found it strange that a tiger would attack a grown elephant! I always thought elephants have few predators willing to attack them. Mainly due to their sheer size, and the real possibility of getting seriously wounded in a confrontation.

He went after the guy on the elephant, thats a rather infamous attack if you search it up the guy lost 3.5 fingers , gashes in the thighs he almost didnt make it due to blood loss. They we crowding that big female back into a sanctuary because she had strayed out an had been attacking cows in the area I think its Youtube wild films india tiger attacks man on elephant if anyone wants to see it she lept not only 15 or so feet high but also about 25 across to hit her mark….crazy

Thanks Bert. The witness said after killing the man, they “went after the elephants.” I took that literally. I guess it makes more sense that they went after the elephant’s riders.

When i was 10-12 years old i was at the zoo looking into the tiger inclosurer i remember locking eyes with the tiger wich was at the back of the cage, it roared and ran at me, by the time it got to the front of the cage, i had not moved had not much recolection of how fast the tiger got to the front of the cage, and that it was even caged for a few seconds. Why dont we see people en mass having these reactions to infrasound when they visit zoos for example? Is it only being emitted in rare in the wild situations?
Michael D
Is it silent event or is it included as part of roars that are also otherwise audible? Fascinating

To me it was the roar felt it go right through me, my guess is that this has happened many times to many people. P84(8

I think i pissed it off by looking at it in the eyes which i didn’t realize at first it was partly hidden behind some folige, i would imagine that tigers a zoo’s would do what they do in the wild i think the bars are proof of that, i would like to know if anyone else has had this happen too, i really doubt i am the only one…. 634(3!!!
