A listener writes “Did I hear you right the other day when you said people have reported a lady dressed In a sheer white gown? That made my hair stand on end it reminded me of a time about 25 years ago camping with friends in payson canyon.
We were drinking and I went to go relieve myself and I just kept walking and walking. When I got done it was pitch black I had no light and no idea where I was going. I just kept walking and walking getting further and further away finally I realized I was hopelessly lost. I couldn’t believe it.
The deep forest at 200 am I was terrified I sat down and almost cried then a lady steps out from behind a tree. She says
That’s where your friends are and it was at least a mile I turned to say thanks and she was gone. I didn’t know what to think I just followed that little orange light until I finally arrived at camp all scrat he’d up and dirty. Everyone said where you been? What’s wrong I just kinda sat there then told my story. They just laughed. Nobody believed me I guess I was gone 2 hours. But I’ve only told a few people this story I wondered if anyone else had a similar encounter? Please don’t use my name.”

Oh my gosh! How frightening, and yet reassuring in another way. Anyone else hear the story growing up-it was in my mother’s readers digest condensed version- about the college boys out driving and they gave a girl in a white gown a ride and they lent her a coat, then later they went back and the coat was folded but she was gone, something like that? In other words there have been other stories about a woman or a girl who is seen and then later disappears, indicating it’s a ghost/spirit.

There have been stories around home in Southwest Missouri back in the older days that a woman in white was responsible for getting many lost people home safely. For some reason, I never associated three woman in white as it relates to Sasquatch to these stories until I read this. Very interesting. Sasquatch rarely wanders into my neck of the woods, they are all around us, and back before it became so populated there were stories, but I haven’t heard of one in thirty years or so.

Sometimes spirits stick around to protect and guide the lost.
