A listener writes “2018 is when the event happened. I honestly don’t know how much you want me to put in this email but I could go on and on. The problem is I’m not the best at putting my thoughts to paper. I was born in Wyoming and the bighorn mountains were home to me and still are. Every chance we could take we went in to the mountains and enjoyed Gods creation. The reason I tell you this is because I feel like I know a good amount of knowledge about animals and a decent amount of knowledge about wilderness survival. At 8 I moved to Springfield, Missouri but my father stayed in Wyoming. Every summer and winter I went back to Wyoming to spend time with my father side, up to age 14. At the age of 19 I joined the marines as infantry (0311).

in 2012 I got out of the marines and decided to get in construction. I moved from a labor to a project manger (PM) fairly quickly. As a PM that works primarily on state and federal jobs. I travel all over Missouri, at one point I was doing 1200 miles a week. This portion of my life is where I had my fist experience.

In 2018 I believe (I can look at past projects to see if I’m correct) we had to get to a job 3.5 hr away by 7am. I had an employee that was riding with me that I was going to run the job and we were going to go review the job site in person to get a plan of attack. It was around 5:30 AM when this sighting happened.

I was on the highway speeding going about 80 miles an hour as we started heading up this hill I noticed this large black shadow step out of the wood line, so I let off the gas. At this point I’m think this as a large bear and why was it standing on 2 legs before it stepped out of the wood line and then what seemed to be on all 4s as it stepped out on the road. But then as I was still coming up on it, it looked like it wasn’t on all 4 but was hunched over and the front legs weren’t on the road and why the f— does it seem like it gliding over the road.

I watched this thing take 2 step to cross 2 lane highway road. At this point I’m like 15’ away from this thing, rolling about 35 mph and get Ready to pass it as it in the median, that divides oncoming traffic. As I start to pass this thing I watch it stand up as it turning toward my passing vehicle. I’m still thinking it a bear at this point but as it starts standing up I can see the head and I’m thinking this bear is standing up with his nose in the air (This is all going hundredths of a second in my mind). But it keep getting taller and taller and as I finally pass this thing I look at the employee and say what the f was that. As we started heading down the hill very slowly because I was confused on what I just saw I watched a vehicle on the other side of the road going up the hill, slam on the brakes at stop in the middle of the hill. Then take off fast like it was trying to avoid some thing in the middle of the road. I looked at the employee and said was that a freaking big foot? So we turns around to see if we could get a better look at it, but it was gone.
