A listener writes “I live in the upstate of South Carolina. I started listening to your podcast a couple of weeks ago at the suggestion of a friend after sharing a experience with him.
This incident happened last winter while we were spending the weekend at our lake house on Lake Hartwell. It was about 11pm and I was sitting down by the lake. I had built a small fire and I had been out there for about 4 hrs. It was a very quiet night and the temperature was in the low 40°s. I was was facing the house because the smoke was blowing in that direction. I had a clear line of sight in most directions over 200ft and I had a 7500lm spot light with.
From behind me I heard the sound of something big and heavy hitting the water, it wasn’t the splash of a fish or the slap of a beaver, it was a ca thunk sound. I really didn’t think much of it the first time it happened but it happened 4 more times and I looked around with my spotlight and seen nothing. One rock landed a few feet from my docks walk way and it was a quartz rock that would weigh 1-2lbs the shoreline to my left is probably where it came from, well over 200ft away. At around 1am I went back to the house, I was feeling a little uneasy and I let my 2 dogs out in the back yard and in just a few minutes I heard my Great Pyrenees start barking so I went to see what he was barking at and I heard something moving the woods on the other side of the road,it sounded like foot steps.
The next night I went out and set on the dock because the wind was up a bit, along about midnight I heard this gibberish sound coming from across the cove over 3/4 of mile away. I had never heard anything like that before and it was coming from more than one source. It went on for about 30mins before it went away.
Before all of this happened I used to see deer and coyotes on camera and in person all the time but they have completely gone away since. No tracks or anything.
I would like to hear your thoughts on this. I didn’t see anything but I couldn’t explain the rocks.”

You are in the right place. My grandparents lived out by lake keowee. Beautiful country in the upstate. I believe there was a Bigfoot conference not too long ago in Westminster.

Awesome! I live close to Lake Hartwell. I have always suspected these creatures could be around this area. There was a Bigfoot conference in Westminster this past October. Unfortunately, I had to work that day but I attended the one in 2019. It was a lot of fun ????????♀️
