A listener writes “It was probably 6 to 8 months ago I was riding my horse and we own a field that borders our woods and there is a trail all the way around and as I was coming to the corner where the woods stop there was a loud knock and my horse went ballistic and before hand he was tired and was just walking as we went past our woods on the other side cause there is a fence row between two trails I was on the opposite trail going past our woods and wen I looked in I saw thought I saw something big but my horse was still going ballistic I drop of my horse got a gun and went back there as I was walking in I found what looked like track I kept on walking and I found more tracks that were three to four foot apart I looked over to my left and there is a brush pile and I saw something red duck down I barely saw its face and then I kept on taking the trail and eventually lost it”

Now that is what I’m talking about, get a gun first and then go back and look around…

Don’t go back at all. Just get a BIG gun. What would you do if you saw it anyway. Chase it or it you. Lock your horse up and go inside the house. j.v.

What the…when I saw the headline I thought of that old 60’s song by The Monkees ‘I’m A Believer’…..Then I saw her face, now I’m a believer Not a trace of doubt …in my mind…. Anyway, like Wes says – keep your head on a swivel.

I agree. Take care of your horse first. Keep an eye on your live stock. I have heard too many horror stories about Sasquatch and horses. Be careful going out into the woods alone I encourage taking your weapons. Good luck and thank you for sharing about your encounter. To me it was close enough.
