Located 30 miles northwest of Johannesburg, the Rising Star cave system is a sprawling network of underground tunnels, chambers, and rivers. Here, explorers have uncovered over a thousand fossil elements determined to belong to a previously unknown species of hominin, Homo naledi.

I read an article about this cave system a few months ago. There’s also a show on Netflix about this very same cave. Hominid fossils found DEEP inside of the cave system, almost unbelievable. Highly recommend anyone to take a closer look at the evidence.
