A listener writes “My encounter happened in Ohio when I was 11 in the spring. Me and one of my friends used to go into the woods that are near my house and play a game called airsoft which is just like bb guns that don’t hurt as bad.

We used to play this game all day around 3 to 4 times a week and like I said we would be out there all day, well one day we decided that we were goin to play pretty early in the morning and so we set out with all of our stuff and we started our game around 7 in the morning. We had been playing for and hour or two when my friend called me over for a minute and asked me a question that I will never forget as long as I live. He asked me if I saw “that guy” that was sitting at the top of the hill looking at us and watching us, I hadn’t seen him the whole time that we were out there and so I was scanning the ridge above us that we were playing by and told him I didn’t see anything and he said how can you not he is right in front of us and so I looked up and started scanning again and then I saw what my friend had seen and it was just this brown ball of hair that was crouched at the top of the hill looking at us.

We just stood there about 15 yards from this creature and we just looked at one another then back at this thing, and I don’t know why I did this but all at once I let out a whistle and just watched as the ball of hair turned into the big probably around 8 foot tall creature. We took a few steps back just looking at this thing and could make out the face that was sort of gray with a little bit of brown mixed into it and all I could think was wow I have to get out of here faster than my friend and I know how bad that sounds but before I could make a move this thing started to turn but as it did this thing was still looking right at us and took tow steps away from this ridge and was gone. After this happened I have never been anywhere close to the woods and I don think I ever will. I don’t even walk my dog or drive my car around there to this day. I also have terrible nightmare about it and at the time I am writing this I had a nightmare that my family got torn to pieces by one of the creatures and I don’t know why but it felt so real and I woke up in a cold sweat not knowing where I was or what had happened. I have never told anyone bc nobody will believe me because I’m younger and I was hoping you could help me make sense of this.”
