Friday Night: The face looked like a person but with a flatter nose

Update: Spoke to the witness yesterday and he has agreed to come on the show. I was blown away listening to him retell his encounter. I am also working on getting another guest on the show for Friday.

A listener writes “Hello Wes, I had an encounter in late December 2014 at my parents house in (edited location) Southern CA. My wife and I had gone down to visit my parents one evening and had gone outside to take our New puppy out to do his business and have a cigarette. We had been outside for a few minutes when we could smell this rancid putrid aweful odor. Now before we could smell anything I noticed everything had gone silent except for some rustling down the hill. My parents house sits on top of a hill on their property. Property is about 5 acres and the neighbors properties are about the same or more depending. Most of the property is old growth oak trees.

My wife asked me if I could smell that and I responded yes. Now I’m a Hunter and an avid outdoorsman so I figured it was a cougar. I told my wife to grab the dog and go inside. As we are walking inside I could here large bipedal foot falls at the base of the hill paralleling us. Now when I go to my parents I carry a gun the entire time I’m on the property due to wildlife. Now since my parents had moved there a year before my dad had been telling me he thought someone was coming onto the property at night. He had placed an alarm sensor at the edge of the driveway that would ding in the house anytime something would cross it. It would go off so much he ended up turning it off. So I went inside the house grabbed a flashlight and told my wife to stay put with our daughter and I was gonna go investigate.

I walked back outside and started making my way down the hill, gun in one had flashlight in the other. Now i don’t spook easy but from the time I opened the door that smell was twice as strong as before and I felt like I was being watched. I made it down to the lower half of the property and I saw a shadow move behind a tree. I shined my light at the tree and yelled for whoever or whatever it was to come out. I got nothing. So I started making a semi circle pattern clockwise around the tree and as I got to where I could see what was behind it there was nothing there. So I felt a little dumb thinking I’m imagining things when I turn around and about 20 yards in front of me is this huge thing standing there kinda behind another tree. And I froze. It was black in color. Not super long hair but was covered in head to toe except for the face. The face looked like a person but with a flatter nose. Its skin on it’s face was gray. It had no expression on it’s face. This went on about 15 seconds when I heard the front door of the house open.

This snapped me out of my frozen position when I heard my wife yell down to me. This thing looked up the hill looked back at me and just sauntered away towards the neighbors property looking at me the whole time. When it stepped over the barbed wire fence I bolted for the house. I’ve never ran so fast in my life. My parents and My wife were standing on the porch when I got to the top of the hill. My mom said you’re as white as a ghost. I told them I was fine and walked inside. This is the first time I’m even writing this down and my hands are shaking. Thanks for listening Wes”

    ~Man. What an encounter! WHY are these things showing themselves so much now, it seems, than ever before. I would love to hear him talk about this incident. Maybe he’ll come on, huh? Hope so…

    Get a buffalo rifle and kill the thing. It will eventually cause more trouble, possibly getting your dog or something else. These aren’t just big monkeys they are pure evil. The only good squatch is a dead squatch. Be careful and watchful of your parents. God bless. j.v.

      Just curious Janetta, why do you say these things are pure evil? Have you had and experiance that leads you to believe this? I do believe that there are many a counts out there that truly show the anger of one of these creatures, but I also believe that there are many encounters where nothing happens because like any wild animal, if you leave them alone, they as well just want to be left alone.

        It seems “evil” would imply that these things are human in nature rather than animal. Animals hunt and survive. Or maybe they are rabid. Humans seem to have the corner on the “evil ” motive. But as a figure of speech re the encounter I completely understand.

        Hey Bryan… I don’t get it either…. This one calmly looks at the guy and walks away peacefully. Where’s the evil? Just the imagined potential? If that’s what it’s all about then what isn’t evil if you’ve got a fearful imagination? What wouldn’t merit killing in that case?

          To the three fellows above. I said these things, meaning all of them, are pure evil, because my own personal belief is that they are the nephilim and I’ve felt that way along time. I associate them with Goliath and he was evil. That’s just me. Thanks for asking though.

            Hey Janetta! I have spent a lot of time also wondering, and consequently researching, if these things ARE Nephilim. It should be noted that Nephilim have other distinguishing characteristics other than huge size, most notably double rows of teeth and Polydactylism. So, if prints started to show up with 6 toes, and witnesses thought they saw 6 fingered hands, I would agree with you, but so far out of the hundreds of sightings I have come across, I have not seen even one case of this. I have to echo what WES said about this, which is that if I thought they WERE Nephilim, I would stop researching them and start hunting them down immediately.     Thomas W, I totally agree. I think there are people in here who volunteer to do that. A book with the story and an artist’s rendition is something that would sell big!

    Also, it’s just a personal belief but I don’t think people should let puppies have cigarettes.

    Make a giant snare trap with one of those old growth trees .Then one morning when you wake up you’ll have ole Squatchly hanging upside down. Call Bobo and the rest is history!

    after thinking it over, i somewhat lightly agree with the above comment… the only good squatch (that term makes me squirm in my seat) is a dead one. i think one should be sacrificied for the good of the rest. humanely disect it and send parts off to certain colleges and scientists and upload videos to as many news sites and reddit forumns, sites like this, youtube, etc etc so fast that the GOV csnt shut em all down and get some big notice about these things existing. and NOT for the money, but to do some SERIOUS shaking up everywhere.

    I think that killing one that is merely passing through and not threatening is not only irresponsible but may, or more than likely, cause more problems. This would put you in danger but also neighbors or anyone else who just happens to be in the vicinity of a fool with an itchy trigger finger.
    Just like animals and people, some are just bad or somehow violent and need to be eliminated but to sweep any group of living creatures with a broad brush of genocide is a mistake I thought we learned the faults of long ago.
