That’s my backyard. I’ve had one odd experience of being shadowed for about 2 miles from just off the trail, not a bear, but something big and agile. Lots of open forest and mountains.

Mike, I could not agree more with you about protection, living symbiotically and allowing their environment or areas to be left for them and their needs. I have been saying so from get go, but there’s so much aggressive, militant thought based on fear and lack.of knowledge that it is sad in my opinion. Of course I was not attacked or threatened by them like so many claim to have been. Please be cautious and best of luck to you. I like your patient, deep study like Jane Goodall.

I really like his approach. I’m trying something similar where I’m at in hopes of it working. I’ve learned some Cherokee and other Native American words and phrases on the off chance that it’s something they can understand, worth a try anyway unless I say the wrong thing insult them and get my head twisted off, then my hypothesis is disproven.

_Cherokee are said to be “the Principal” people (people of prinipals).
