A listener writes “Good afternoon. About a month ago my girlfriend and I had a strange encounter in northeast pa. We were enjoying a quiet evening fishing at a local state game lands pond when all of the sudden we both had this feeling that we were being watched from the woods.
After about 10 minutes of this feeling we began to hear what I’ve heard on your show as “samurai chatter”. It was loud enough that it seemed like it was a conversation only a few feet away but almost like it was coming through one of those cheap voice changers that make it hard to understand someone. It’s a pretty quiet area with some hiking trails and a dirt road that passes through this section, so we would’ve noticed if anyone had come through.
From what we could tell the sounds were coming at least 2, if not 3, areas above us in the woods. We waited a little longer before they started moving back and forth through the woods, still chattering away. It was at this point we had looked at each other and realized we were both feeling and hearing this. We decided to leave shortly after this, what do you think this might have been?”
