Dr. Meldrum takes a look at evidence

Ozark Mountain Sasquatch writes “We take a trip to the Honobia Bigfoot Conference to get Dr.Jeff Meldrum’s thoughts on our hand and foot castings. He gave us a lesson session and more insight on our castings. We had a great time at the well ran Conference and met some great people!”

Do any skeptics take into account the amount of knowledge of primate anatomy, physiology, skeletal design, musculature, and bio-mechanics that would be required to fake this sort of thing? All the things that Dr. Meldrum was pointing out would take, in my opinion, too much knowledge, attention to detail, and expense to hoax these kind of things.

I agree Steven. It shows a lack of understanding as to just what a PhD biologist knows. Most people are science ignorant. They think science is simpler then scientists say it is…. if you’ve got a PhD in biology, you are SMART. And, you do know more then 99% of the population, hands down!

I think most skeptics have never really looked at the evidence. They think all the photos are fuzzy and dismiss the good ones as fakes without really considering them. If one hoaxer admits faking a print, they assume they’re all fakes. Most of them don’t want to believe, so they’re not open to really looking at the evidence or listening to witnesses. It makes it easier to not believe if you can assume every sighting was a fuzzy brown patch behind the bushes, a bear mistaken for something exotic, because you haven’t listened to witness accounts. If they do get curious and open their minds a crack, they often end up on YouTube, wading through a bunch of fake Bigfoot videos, confirming their skepticism.
