The disappearance of William Neil McCasland often called Gen. Neil McCasland is a recent and still unsolved missing-person case that has drawn attention because of his connection to advanced aerospace research and the UFO/UAP debate.
Key facts about the disappearance
McCasland, 68, is a retired U.S. Air Force major general and former commander of the Air Force Research Laboratory. He was last seen on February 27, 2026, near his home in Albuquerque. Authorities issued a Silver Alert because he reportedly has unspecified medical issues.
He reportedly left home on foot without his phone, and investigators have not confirmed any sightings since. The Federal Bureau of Investigation and local law enforcement are involved in the search. Investigators even asked hundreds of nearby homeowners for security camera footage to help reconstruct his movements.
Why the case is getting so much attention
McCasland is notable because of his career:
Commander of the Air Force Research Laboratory (major U.S. military research hub). Oversaw advanced aerospace and space-related programs. Had connections to the UFO disclosure movement through people associated with Tom DeLonge and related initiatives.
Because of those connections, some commentators claim the disappearance could have national-security implications, although this is speculative.

The illness they mentioned in the article is unspecified, but if it has anything to do with dementia, this is likely the cause of his disappearance. If that is not the case, this may also be a kidnapping by Middle Eastern ne’er-do-wells because of the attacks on Iran. After all, the Air Force is largely responsible for the destruction in Iran at the moment. Either way, his disappearance is a terrible event and I hope they find him soon. I’ll remember him in my prayers.

I have seen this one with Rus and other youtube feeds. I hope he is found soon and in good health. But it certainly could be an inside kidnapping if he was going to come clean with the Disclosure Project, and knew to much.
