Lieutenant Commander Alex Dietrich served a 20 year career as a Naval officer and strike fighter pilot (F/A-18F). During her squadron tours she served two combat deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan and was awarded a Bronze Star and Air Combat Medal.

Dietrich is perhaps best known for her involvement in a 2004 UAP incident that occurred off the Southern California coast, while assigned to Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 41. While on a routine training mission Dietrich recalled seeing “this weird flying Tic Tac shaped object.” She attempted to descend toward the object to obtain a visual at close range, at which time the object abruptly ascended and disappeared from view.

Dietrich retired from the military after serving for two decades in the U.S. Navy. During her time in service, she logged more than 1,250 hours and performed 375 carrier-arrested landings.

UFOs and The Military: A Combat Pilot’s Experience with The Unknown

Paranormal Portal writes “It’s no secret that many people have witnessed strange objects in the skies all over the world. In recent years, even the U.S. Military have gone on record admitting that pilots and service members have encountered objects that they can’t explain.

From the Nimitz encounters off the coast of California to many, many more, there is no question that we are being visited by intelligences that we can’t explain. On this episode, I am joined by author Robert Allred. Robert’s newest book, “A History of Military Encounters With UFOs” details several documented encounters between the Military and these incredibly advanced craft that may very well be from the stars. We discuss some of these encounters and dive into the phenomena, itself and share our thoughts on these incredible, and sometimes terrifying encounters. Join us as we discuss this and so much more!”

The Confessionals writes “In episode 740: Squatch Watchers, the Squatch Watchers dive deep into the mysteries surrounding their North Carolina investigation site. What began as a pursuit of Bigfoot has evolved into something far more unsettling. Rocks materialize from nowhere. Silent forests hum with unseen energy. Something lurks beneath the fallen trees—watching, waiting.

From the discovery of the Bigfoot Underground—a labyrinth of fallen timber concealing something unnatural—to an inexplicable rock that vanished midair, their encounters defy conventional explanation. Then came Fear Rock. Since its discovery, nightmares, physical attacks, and an oppressive force have followed them—even a simple object seemed to bring chaos into their lives. Are these entities tied to the land? Are they watching from beyond the river? And most disturbingly… have the Squatch Watchers been marked?”

The Creepiest Encounter in the Woods: Unsolved Mystery

Mysteries Unknown writes “In tonight’s episode I have a returning guest Darrell Adams who has had one of the strangest encounters with bigfoot that I have ever heard on a property called Owl Moon Labs located in Oregon. This encounter has Class A sightings, photo and audio evidence. Strange people showing up on his property, strange lights portals and more. It truly is one of the strangest encounters I have ever heard and I am excited to share it with you!”

Encounter From Oregon

A listener writes “I was reminded of something that happened to me in late summer 2010. I had dismissed it quickly because of how it affected me at the time. I was taking a friend home from town. We passed a barn that was on fire. The flames were very high and the smoke higher than the flames.

I watched the fire from his house which was on the hillside above. I took a different route home to avoid getting in the way of emergency vehicles. I made a left turn onto Lake Earl Drive and saw something step away from a tall hedge. It stepped down into a ditch maybe three feet deep and five feet across. It stepped down into the ditch with one foot and stepped up on the road with the other foot. Just before I saw this thing I had slowed down because I was amazed that the light from the fire was visible where I was three miles away. I stopped to watch the light reflecting off the clouds that had come in from the ocean when I noticed movement at the edge of my car headlights. When it was on the road on my left it turned and started walking in the opposite direction from me. I was driving slowly at that point, maybe 5 mph. The thing covered so much ground with only a few steps. In one step it was in the middle of another street that met up with Lake Earl Drive.

At that point it turned. I’m not sure if it turned toward me or away from me but that is when I saw it outlined in the light from a nearby house and something snapped in my head. I think I said something like “Holy Shit” then I pressed on the gas pedal. I had this thought that it was coming after me, that it was going to climb into the back of my truck and reach through the back window. I thought it might be chasing me even though I was going 50 mph by then. I kept saying out loud to myself “What the hell was that?” I was kind of screaming it and looking in my center mirror. I lived five miles from the place where I saw the thing. I lived in the same woods that this thing had stepped out of. I didn’t want to get out of my car when I got home but I didn’t want to sit in the driveway alone in the dark either. I worked up my courage and got into the house. I told my husband and he seemed convinced because of how I looked when he saw me step through the front door.

I didn’t see much detail except that it was big, had shaggy dark hair all over, its arms were unusually long, and it seemed to not have a neck. I couldn’t see its face, hands or feet. I can tell you it was not wearing shoes or anything that resembled clothing. Later I made up a story that what I saw was a kid in a ghillie suit. As luck would have it maybe a month later, I saw a kid in the Safeway parking lot wearing ghillie pants. I knew right away that what I saw was not someone in a ghillie suit. I felt conflicted knowing this fact because I was left with the problem of trying to explain what it was to myself.

I grew up in the forest. My siblings and I would spend hours bushwhacking all over the hills. I have been up close to black bear, elk, and mountain lion. I’ve been within spitting distance of a shark and sea lions. I’ve been held hostage by men with automatic weapons. I have never felt the kind of threat to my life as I did that night from a thing on the side of the road. I can’t help but feel kind of stupid for what I felt that night. I think I felt stupid after I got home and decided to explain it away. There was much of the experience that I had forgotten until I started listening to other people tell their stories and their sense of crushing fear. Hearing their reports I realized that I knew what they were talking about.

I have been a certified lifeguard with open water training, I’ve had wilderness first responder training, and I work with people who are suicidal. I consider myself to be cool-headed especially in a crisis. I’m fearful but for the most part I can channel my fear into a coherent response. I’ve never experienced that kind of fear before. It is unexplainable all around. Thank you for giving me a forum to share this. I think I needed to confront this experience.”

Kris writes ” In early January I decided to head to RMNP west of Estes Park to hike up and snowboard down an old ski hill there. This is something I’ve done many times on my own and often there are others doing the same. Although I think it’s a bit more rare to go at night, you’ll still see folks up there hitting a line a night with head lamps and lights. This time I decided to go at night on my own. I did tell 3 friends where I was going and actually texted one friend a starry Pic from the trailhead. The trailhead lot was empty as we’re the ranger stations on the way in.

So, at this point I headed up the hill. It usually takes about an hour depending on snow conditions. I had a snowboard, a backpack with snacks and a Bluetooth speaker. I typically opt out of using snowshoes because Ive got to carry them down as well. I threw on the whole Sabbath paranoid album to get my head straight and motivated. The hill is a limited number of runs with low angles so there is really no avalanche danger.

A week prior, I did the exact same thing. A night hike and boarded down. So, I was confident and enjoying the solace. Even over the sabbath, I could here the wind moving tall trees and flakes hitting the ground. The trail isn’t challenging going up and the terrain opens and closes with the trees in the background. About 45 minutes in, I am at the point where the hill opens up and is peppered with trees in the ski slope. The sides are surrounded by darkness due to the trees around. My speaker suddenly says “low battery”. I kept walking to the top where the hill funnels you into a narrow trail between more trees. ( i had my phone, so i could point this part out on Google maps)
Right then, I decide to reach back and turn off the speaker so I don’t have to hear the low battery alert. I continue up this narrow trail for about 80 yards, just short of thr length of a football field. Only hearing the flakes landing, wind, and my crunchy boot prints, out of nowhere came the loudest BARK, with a roaring echo, I’ve ever heard.

At this point, I froze. My whole body went into shock. I went from nice n warm because of all the movement to cold as ice. I lost feeling in my lips. I didn’t know what to do, or say or….
So I did what I’ve done on a couple occasions. I channeled my inner Phil Anselmo and ripped the biggest scream I could. I yelled HEY! With everything I had. I wanted to Guage where this noise came from so I yelled. After, I sat down shaking. About 15 heartbeats later, BARK! At that moment I knew it was in the trees down from me. Silence in-between these barks so I know it wasn’t moving. I got into my bag and took out 3 lights I use for night biking. All of which are at least 1000 lumens. I pointed one up the trail, one down the trail, and one right in front of me into the trees.

I listened and heard nothing. I’m thinking, did I imagine this? So I go HEY one more time. Sure enough, about 10- 15 heartbeats later, BARK. I almost started crying as I strapped my snowboard faster than I ever could have otherwise. I’m freaking out in silence as I think I’m about to board into this sound by heading down. As I’m thinking all of this, I’ve gotten ready and am about to stand up.
This is where in the trees ahead of me, a crazy loud laughing started. Hat ha ha ha haha. It echoes as if there are multiple somethings laughing at me. Like a mad joker.

I flipped at that point. Mentally freaked out. I was having trouble standing up because my hands were sinking into the snow. I quickly found a way and headed down faster than I would have in the day! I didn’t sleep gor two nights, and still have trouble doing so.

Thx for reading Wes. I was shaking and having a hard time writing this.”

We will also be speaking to Augustus, he writes “My uncle just died and he told we to tell you about all of are interesting stories and the crazy we saw while hunting and horseback riding.” Augustus is from Utah and shares strange encounters near his families property.

Spoke to the witness and she is 78 years old. She said this started right after she moved in last year. This has been non stop since.

A listener writes “I’m contacting you because I’ve watched some of your programs and I need information. I have a Sasquatch about 4 1/2 feet tall. He’s a young young man and he he comes to my house every evening. He will not let me sleep.

He bangs on the side of the mobile home because I have a mobile home you knock on the windows he just he knows every everywhere. I am here in my home. I just don’t know what to do about the situation. I have even tried talking to him. I’ve contacted David at the Big Foot expedition and he’s been working with me pretty much but he doesn’t have the answers either. I live in Georgia. I’ll be glad to give you my phone number and you can call me.

You can call David and talk to him about it. He knows he knows all about it pretty much. It’s just that I don’t sleep and I’ve ended up having to go to a friend‘s house and stay there in the evening and come home during the day, which is very frustrating. So if you have any information that could help me in anyway, it would be such such a blessing for me.

I truly wish that I had never seen this young man and I really really wish he would find another home. He is all black black eyes and he’s about 4 1/2 feet tall. I dread it when he gets bigger cause already he’s he’s. He plays havoc with me all the time he gets on my roof and he just walks back-and-forth. If I go to bed, you can hear him up there growling you could hear him roll.”

Roger is going to be discussing all things Bigfoot and Cryptid plus talking about his encounter in Tennessee as well as some strange stories he has come across on his channel.”

Encounter Stories from Tennessee

A listener writes “I hope you are doing well. I’ve been a longtime listener and wanted to reach out to tell you about my personal sasquatch story. I’ve been a magnet for the weird my entire but this particular event took place Oct 30 and 31, 2016, when I was 32 years old.

Let me start by saying I love the outdoors and I am a competitive shooter but I am not a hunter. I grew up in a far-flung suburb of Denver called Brighton, which historically was a farm town and when I was a kid it still had a Bradbury-esque small town feel but I had a lot of friends with farm property. One of those friends is a kid I knew through middle school and high school named Aaron, and we became good buddies in college and still keep in touch from time to time. Aaron’s dad hunted for elk in the same area outside Carbondale for over 40 years, on the side of Mt. Sopris. Interestingly enough, he vehemently refused to invite Aaron to go with him and his hunting buddies until he was an adult. I don’t recall what age specifically, but he was weird about it and, in retrospect, I believe it’s because he had experiences out there himself over the years.

Anyhow, my friend Aaron, at the time of the occurrence, was an ultra marathoner, fit as a fiddle and he invited me to come along with him and his dad on their annual hunting trip, mostly just because he knew I loved to hike and at that point his dad’s hunting crew had shrunk down to just the two of them. I agreed to come along and hike through the backcountry with him and bought some safety orange.

So we made our way up to Carbondale on the 29th and planted our trucks/camper in the parking lot of the Mt. Sopris Trailhead. Aaron’s dad was really pushy about me staying in the camper with them, and despite all that I still threw up my tent on what Steve (Aaron’s dad) said they used to call “Shit hill” back in the day before there were public toilets there. Again, I didn’t think anything of it at the time, but my tent was probably ten yards from the trailer, just far enough away to not be “camping” in the parking lot. The first night passed without incident and we went to bed pretty early so we could get an early start the next day.

At about 4:30 AM on the 30th Aaron and I set out up the trailhead while Steve stayed in the lowland area for the day because of bad knees. We followed the trail for a couple miles before setting out into the backcountry to zip up and down peaks and valleys all day. It was absolutely beautiful weather, probably in the low 60’s, which I learned made for abysmal hunting but good grief was it pretty. The hiking was great. We wound up doing about 13 miles that day and around 2 in the afternoon we stumbled across what I now believe to have been a sasquatch bed.

I took a bunch of photos and would be happy to send them along, but what stood out to me at the time was the sheer size of it. It was about 7’X4′ and comprised of pine bark scrapings shaped into a bowl. There were a couple piles of scat at the edge of it full of nuts and berries. Later telling Steve about it he said it sounded like a bear bed but I made the case it was strange that NONE of the trees surrounding it had any signs of claw marks where bark had clearly been rubbed off to make the giant bed. Anyway, we spent some time poking around at it. I’ve been into bigfoot since I was a kid and at that point I’d read plenty of books and was a fan of yours and the Bigfoot Outlaw Radio show at the time. I was super curious but my buddy Aaron was (and still is) about the biggest skeptic in the world and didn’t really care to waste a lot of time on it.

So we made our way back to the trailer, both Steve and Aaron skunked by the weather. We drank beers and played cribbage late into the night, before going to our respective beds.

Here’s where things went sideways.

It was 4AM on the morning of Oct. 31. It’s worth noting here that I had almost zero cell service.

I woke up to the buzzing of my phone alarm. Again, I had no service but had kept the phone in airplane mode to save the battery and I’d set the alarm knowing we planned to set out again that morning at 4:30. As I groggily squeezed the phone I became aware of another immediate noise. There were big, heavy footsteps just outside my tent. Instantly I was awake.

My first instinct was to reach into my sleeping bag and grab the 10mm Glock I had in the bag with me. As I quietly slipped it out of the holster I listened intently and realized that the footsteps were slowly, heavily, circling my tent. My first thought was that it was a moose, because there was literally moose scat everywhere and the Rockies are rife with them. But then it struck me that I was hearing bipedal steps. Crunch, crunch, crunch in the rocky dirt. I listened to it make one full circle around my tent before I thought “could this be a man?” but there was no way because it was the first weekend of rifle season and you’d have to be an absolute lunatic to screw with somebody in those woods. However, there are lunatics out there. I will admit that, at that moment, sasquatch did not cross my mind. I thought it was a person, albeit a huge person, and just as I started to unzip and slide myself out of my bag in the dark, getting ready to exit the tent, I heard muffled speaking and the screen door of the trailer squeaked open. Then I heard my buddy Aaron say something to his dad and whatever was making the footsteps made an immediate beeline away from my tent and away downhill.

I shouted out of my tent “Aaron, did you see that?” as I threw my boots on. Neither he nor his dad had seen anything, but their alarms had also been thankfully set for 4AM and they had scared away my visitor. That was just the start.

We spent the next 20 minutes making instant oatmeal, taking Advil, and admitting we’d stayed up too late. I was still troubled about the visitor but Steve reassured me it had to have been a bear and he reiterated that I should have stayed in the trailer.

Finally, at 4:30 we headed out again in the pitch black. Aaron and I went up the hill in pitch black, hoping to get to the area they called the meadow by about 7:30, where I would turn around and hike back to head home while they stayed out on the mountain.

We only made it about a half mile before the incident took place. The terrain on the trail was rocks sloping uphill to our right and insanely dense scrub oak trees/bushes on the downhill side to our left. We each had dinky headlamps that functionally lit up about ten feet in front of us. Aaron was in front of me with his .30-06 slung and I was right behind him just hiking with the 10mm on my hip. Completely without warning there was a series of three deep whooping noises from behind us, maybe ten yards away. We both stopped. Aaron was surprised but I think he was doing everything he could to not be scared. I knew instantly what that noise was.

“What the hell was that?” he said.

“Dude,” I said. “You know of anything that makes gorilla noises out here?”

He shook his head, trying to scoff, but I knew he was unsettled and started walking again.

Like I said, I was big into Bigfoot Outlaw Radio at the time and I could hear their voices in the back of my head saying “You’d better not take a shot at one unless you’re ready to die.” And so I said that to Aaron. I saw him shake his head again as he continued up the hill and he never unslung his rifle. With that same thought in my head I made no move whatsoever for my own gun. We took probably ten more steps before there was a responding call, this time from up ahead of us, maybe another ten yards. Another three whoops. This time my blood ran cold. Because at that moment I knew that what we’d heard was exactly what we’d heard and that there were multiple of them. And they were communicating ABOUT us.

Now Aaron was scared. I could see it in his eyes when he turned to look at me. I turned and looked around, could see nothing besides some fallen branches and brush, and debated what I was going to say, when all of a sudden there was a thundering sound from the downhill slope to our left. Footsteps landed like anvils, smashing their way rapidly uphill, directly through the brush, coming right for us. We could see literally nothing but the scrub oak, probably ten feet tall, shaking violently as the footsteps smashed right toward us. Instinct took over then. Neither of us ran, and honestly there wouldn’t have been time to.

Just as it looked like the thing was about to crash out of the brush right in front of us…it stopped.

Everything stopped, and it was silent. Zero sound except Aaron and I breathing heavily. I looked down and saw that I was holding a large fallen tree branch (aspen?), like a damn caveman, pointing it toward the downhill, while six feet of dead branches pointed the opposite way behind me.

“Holy shit,” Aaron said. He was holding his rifle now but not pointing it. “what do we do?”

I looked around and could just barely see a bend in the trail ahead of us with a low boulder.

“I think we should sit on that boulder and wait for sunrise.” And that’s what we did. All I wanted to do was talk about what had happened but Aaron brushed it off as “an animal” and made it clear he did not want to discuss it further. The sun started to come up and I continued on with him for a couple miles, but I felt like we were being watched the whole time. Eventually, I told him I was ready to go and we parted ways. I told him to be careful, which he actually shrugged off. In the daylight I watched the hilltops beside me like a hawk all the way back down to the trailhead. I didn’t see Steve again that day. I just packed up my tent into my truck and hauled ass out of there. I did ask Steve about it later and he got very weird about it. I still keep in touch with a lot of Brighton friends and the kid of one of Steve’s old hunting buddies confirmed that they’d absolutely had bigfoot experiences up there over the years.

Anyhow, I feel like I’ve rambled enough now. As I mentioned earlier I’ve had a lot of weir experiences. Here’s one that’s even weirder than the bigfoot story. I’ll link a report I made to NUFORC that they have posted publicly. I reported it to MUFON also and spoke with one of their field guys.”

A listener writes “I below I have included a sighting I believed to have had in 2/2023. I sent it to you and know you get thousands of sighting stories, but after another sighting (I think), I decided to send that to you as well.

First let me say that when I hear people on your podcast say -“my first sighting, then my second sighting” I always think to myself ok, I can see maybe having a first sighting, but multiple?

Anyway, I am now a believer that it is possible to see a second sighting. My second was last week March 2nd 2025. More than anything, I just would like to have confirmation that a Sasquatch could have this behavior. This was an incident while driving home from the Adirondacks. My boyfriend (who was with me for the first sighting as well). We were in the Fingerlakes. He was driving and on back road on the way to his home (15 minutes from his home) at the south end of Canandaigua lake. I am not exactly sure which road but the sign I saw right after the sighting was the town of Gotham. Yates County. It was all cut corn fields so very illuminated in a yellow color as to the cut corn stalks. It was a very open area of many fields not close to a barn just wide open. It was 20 degrees out and a clear day.

I was looking at the fields as I always do. I saw what I thought was a man or farmer walking way back in the field. Acres away from where a barn would be and he was walking parallel to the road so I could see them standing upright. I assumed he was wearing overalls as the color was gray bluish. I couldn’t see details but I k ew it wasn’t a Mennonite as he wasn’t wearing a hat. I said to my boyfriend, do you see that guy in the field, why wouldn’t he get out there on an ATV in this cold instead of walking the fields like this. My boyfriend said oh yeah it’s a dear. I said a dear isn’t bipedal. With that and this had to be a matter of seconds as we were driving, this guy or creature looked as though they turned toward the road, crossed their feet and st down slowly.

Then the strangest thing was he slowly and fluidly laid down on its side with the head down too. Like it knew we were watching. My boyfriend again said oh yeah it’s a deer laying down. It wasn’t a deer. My boyfriend was anxious to get home so I didn’t ask to stop. Otherwise I would have. Again it was 20 degrees out and would a farmer just slowly and so carefully lay down in a field?
I have more questions now than ever, but really can’t share it with anyone as it sounds ridiculous.
Side note, as I was driving to my home that day, I made note of some deer about the same distance in a field, and absolutely could see the flat back and head of them on their 4 legs.

The thing I saw was not a deer. If you can shed a little light on weather this is Sasquatch behavior please let me know.”
