A listener writes “This took place in June of 2025, around the Appalachia trail. It’s very important to me that I keep my personal identity private. My job has me working with local law enforcement.

One of the first things my wife said to me when I told her the story which I completely understand. Was that telling people about this would threaten my credibility in my professional career.

Which I ultimately agree with. Honestly, I don’t know how to go about this, I’m going to kind of try to keep my story short. That way I don’t end up sending you an entire novel. But I can of course elaborate if need be. Overall this was nearly my entire day.

A little bit about me that pertains to this story. I’ve worked outdoors quite a bit, one of my first jobs had me working with large reptiles and other non-indigenous species. I would catch and relocate. I’ve also done a lot of private security, and like I mentioned currently work with my local law enforcement. In my personal time, love to go hiking and do what’s called Bushcraft and or primitive camping.

For the actual event in question. I have been dropped off by my wife, I do this all the time. The idea is I’ll get dropped off on one day. Spend a couple of days in the woods. Do some Bushcraft do some hiking, and at a secondary location be picked up. I always set up an emergency rendezvous, should anything happen. Since in these situations cell service is almost never an option.

So on this day I had gone out, pretty moderate weather for the time of year. I had hiked out until I found an area that I felt like I wanted to set up camp. So I threw my tarp, started to collect my firewood. And I wanted to go ahead and make sure I had enough water. Since boiling does take some time. So I walked out to this this Little River, the water was running fairly rough. There was even a nice little waterfall.

While I was crouched down next to the river collecting my water and this is where everything actually happens. I heard a sound that I can only describe as a scream mixed with a roar I’ve never heard anything like that before, and I am very familiar with the animals that I would encounter in that area. It sounds fairly absurd, but the sound was so intense that it physically resonated with me. As if I could feel it pierce my very body. My initial reaction was to fall backwards, which happened without me Even thinking about it. It was as if I got pushed.

Because the sound made no sense to me in any rational manner. My immediate instinct was that it was somebody making a joke of me, which of course makes no sense, it was way too isolated for anybody to do that. Not to mention the sound could not be made by a person without technology. So I screamed back in a very threatening manner. The Scream repeated itself and I started to hear banging as well. I’m not sure if that was trees or rocks or what. But the scream was in tandem with extremely loud banging.

So at this point I started to realize I was in a situation that I did not have control over. But I proceeded as though I was being threatened by an animal. Which I suppose I technically was. So I started to walk backwards facing the scream, that was relatively on repeat. Once I had some distance from the river and was sort of back inside the trees, that’s when I sprinted back to my campsite. I gave myself a minute to collect my thoughts, and figure out what I was going to do.

Here is where I first start to feel scared or nervous. Which I’m not ashamed to say, but not to sound arrogant. That’s not really something that comes easy to me, feeling that way. I quickly became overly aware of how quiet it was, and I felt extremely exposed. And the only reason I noticed how quiet it was, was because I could hear walking. I’m trained enough to know what two feet sounds like, and I heard two feet walking in the woods. Again from my life experience I was also able to tell that whatever was walking was pretty big.

I unholstered my sidearm, that I always bring with me when I go into the bush. Just in case I ever need to scare off a bear or a big cat. I grabbed my backpack, kicked out my fire and left the rest of my gear and started to Make my way down the mountain. Again. I’m trying not to drag this out and type an entire novel to you. But the entire way down I could still hear these noises. Walking, grunting, banging, etc.

I had hours to walk before I had cell signal to contact my wife to drive out and get me. So I had nothing but time to think, and other than thinking about the actual experience itself. It had me questioning everything else I’ve ever heard in the woods. Your audience probably won’t like this, but I’m not a believer, I’m pretty skeptical on the matter. But this experience really made me question the matter.

And it made me think of two other experiences that I had in the woods. One years ago. Honestly, I can’t even remember what the year was, I must have been in my early twenties, I’m about 35 now. When I was working a security site up in Alabama, we heard some pretty crazy noises in the woods. And then another time when I was canoeing in the Ocala national Forest, this one my wife was a part of. And we heard something that I can only describe as a freight train going through the woods, and killing a hog.”

Brayden who is from Washington State writes “I recently moved to a new property with my girlfriend to help care for my grandfather as he gets older, and I’ve started noticing some strange activity around the property. I’m mainly looking for insight into what this could be.

It began with an odd sixth sense feeling like I was being watched. I work a swing shift, so I get home late, and I’d often feel uneasy when pulling into the driveway. At first, I brushed it off as nerves from being in a new place. Then the noises started.

The first incident happened while I was at work. My girlfriend called me, shaken, saying that something was walking outside the house and breathing heavily. I told her it was probably a buck looking for a doe since it was mating season, which seemed reasonable at the time.

Not long after, one weekend night, we were both woken up by chattering sounds coming from two different directions. We just lay there frozen in bed, listening. Another incident involved tapping on the side of the house, which I was able to record.”

Curtis writes “My twin brother and I had an intense encounter with a group of three Sasquatches back in the summer of 1983.” After speaking with the eyewitness, he explained that in 1983, he and five other kids were playing in the woods, pretending to be in a war game.

He recalled that three large creatures emerged from behind the school, stepping out from the tree line. The creatures walked right past him, his twin brother, and their friends. At first, he mistook the creatures for his brother and friends, but upon a closer look, It wasn’t his brother.

He said they weren’t as big as he had initially imagined they were nothing like the giant figures typically described or even like Patty.”

Tonight we will be speaking to Jane. Jane sent me an email talking about this incident that happened to her and her family over 50 years ago in Colorado while on a family trip. Jane’s mother moved around a lot when Jane was a child.

They moved to Washington State into a trailer in the middle of the forest. She describes something large pushing on their trailer trying to get the family dog. Jane said “We all heard it, it was talking or mumbling like a person but it wasn’t a person.

We will be discussing a series of events in her life, she has been reflecting on including this very recent strange event with her daughter while in California. It wasn’t a Sasquatch encounter but it was strange.

A listener writes “Dear Wes, I’ve been a fan of your show for years, and it’s honestly helped me make sense of a number of strange experiences that, at the time, felt like isolated and unrelated events. Listening to your show later on was what finally allowed the pieces to click.

The first incident happened when we owned a property on Vancouver Island in an area called Fanny Bay. Our land backed onto a large estuary, separated by only a thin strip of forest. One night, after putting our daughter to bed, my wife and I were sitting on the back deck enjoying a glass of wine. In the middle of a comfortable silence, the woods suddenly exploded with movement. One moment everything was completely still; the next, it sounded like a bulldozer tearing through the forest at full speed. Trees were crashing and snapping, and then it abruptly stopped.

What followed was a sound I can only describe as the lion’s roar from the old MGM movies except amplified through a massive rock concert sound system. It was so loud I felt it in my gut. We both dropped our wine glasses and ran inside, shaking and white as ghosts. At the time, we explained it away as a cougar taking down a deer. Years later, after finding your show and hearing so many similar accounts, I looked into it more deeply and learned that cougars can’t actually roar they purr. That realization really stuck with me.

The next event occurred after we sold that property and bought 2.5 acres on Denman Island, directly across the water from Fanny Bay. The land backed onto nearly 100 acres of protected forest. During the first phase of building, we were sleeping together in a yurt the main living space. If you’ve ever been in a yurt, you know it’s essentially a heavy duty tent, and you hear everything outside very clearly.

One night around 3 a.m., in the middle of January, it was absolutely pouring rain. My wife and daughter wore earplugs because of the rain pounding on the roof, but I never did I didn’t like the idea of being unable to hear in an emergency. I woke up to the sound of something hitting the tree right outside the yurt with unbelievable force. It sounded like the world’s strongest man vaporizing a baseball bat against the trunk. No human could have made that sound. It was so loud I felt it in my bones.

At that point, I had some awareness of tree knocks from other sources, but I hadn’t discovered your show yet. About 10–15 seconds later, I heard another tree knock this one much farther away, deep in the forest reserve. After that, nothing. I stayed awake until sunrise.

Two years passed with no further incidents, and I more or less forgot about it. We eventually built an addition onto the yurt with bedrooms and a bathroom. Our bedroom had two large windows beside the bed on my side, and a sliding glass door at the foot of the bed.

One evening in April or May, just before full dark, I was sitting on the bed meditating when I was jolted out of it by a very clear sound: knuckles rapping on glass. Knock. Knock. Knock. Right next to my head. I turned and could see the dark woods silhouetted against the dim sky and a darker shape blocking out much of that view.

The shape was unmistakable. It looked exactly like your show’s logo a large head tapering into two shoulders, with no visible neck. It stood there for 15 to 30 seconds, then turned 90 degrees and glided smoothly past the first window, then the second, then around the corner of the addition and past the sliding door, and was gone.

The next day I inspected the area carefully. The ground was dry and firm, and there were no tracks or impressions of any kind. What really bothered me was the height the center of those windows, where the top of the shape had been, is eight feet off the ground. Even more unsettling was how it moved. There was no up-and-down motion, no bobbing like you’d expect from a human or even a primate. It just glided. At the time, my mind went straight to something paranormal.

Only after listening to your show hearing so many people describe the gliding movement and the same lion like roar did I finally connect all of these experiences.

So thank you. Your show helped me understand things that had stuck with me for years without context. I really appreciate the entertainment, the education, and your thoughtful approach to what I consider the apex of high strangeness.

I hope this finds you well, and thanks again for everything you do.”

Paranormal Portal writes “Reports of “little people” have been shared across cultures for centuries, often dismissed as folklore or superstition. But modern witness encounters, unsettling historical cases, and even claims of physical remains complicate that assumption.

In this episode of Paranormal Portal, we explore firsthand accounts, regional traditions, and the strange behavioral patterns that surround these elusive beings — from fleeting sightings and unexplained activity to one of the most controversial discoveries ever reported. Are these encounters cultural echoes, something biological, or something that exists just at the edge of our understanding of reality? Tonight, we examine the evidence, the patterns, and the questions that refuse to settle.”

Salish Sasquatch writes “Come with us to Carson, Washington as we uncover the legend of Datus Perry. Datus claimed to have seen sasquatch 13 times in his life and said he knew where they lived. With his first sighting being in 1937, is Datus the first Bigfoot researcher in Washington state? One of the most interesting men in the topic.”

A listener writes “There are two strange occurrences that have been bothering me recently, and I’d really appreciate hearing your thoughts on them. One is something I came across myself, and the other is a story a friend told me. Neither is anything definitive or outrageous, but both were strange enough to stick with me.

I’ll start with my friend’s experience. She was hanging out with a group of friends in Tannersville, PA, in a rural/suburban neighborhood where houses are clustered together, with wooded areas separating each group. This happened sometime in November 2025, around 9 p.m., so it was fully dark out.

There were five of them trying to get a fire going in a small clearing behind another friend’s house, just a short distance into the treeline. She told me that on three separate occasions they all heard what she described as “a dog bark imitating an owl hoot.” The first sound came from deeper in the woods beyond that area is an old construction site. The second sound was noticeably closer, and the third was so close that it genuinely scared them and they all hurried back inside. She didn’t specify how loud it was, but it must have carried well to be heard from that distance.

I tried to think through possible animals and played her recordings of barred owl calls. She said the rhythm was somewhat similar, but none of the calls matched what they heard. She emphasized that the sound was much deeper and more bark-like than any owl she’d ever heard.

I’m sure someone more knowledgeable about wildlife could probably explain it, and I know it’s hard without an actual recording, but it’s definitely intriguing. If you have any insight, both my friend and I would love to hear itespecially if it might put her more at ease about being in those woods again.

My own experience happened on January 11, 2026, while I was hiking alone at Ricketts Glen State Park on the Laurel View Trail. The area had recently been hit by a storm that iced over the snow, freezing everything solid. On the northern portion of the trail, about half a mile from the loop point, I noticed a frozen footprint that appeared to have toes.

My dad and I always joke that anything strange in the woods is “high levels of squatch activity,” so I stopped to take a picture. On closer inspection, the print was surprisingly large, and the toes really did resemble toes. I stepped into it for scale and estimated it to be about 14 inches long, with unusually wide toes. I’m fairly familiar with animal tracks, and I can see how it might have been a bear track or possibly multiple tracks overlapping in a way that made it look larger. Someone also suggested it could have been a snowshoe print.

Later on the trail, I found a similar-looking print that was closer to 7 inches long and appeared more clearly like a bear track. Either way, I’ve attached photos of both prints with this email.

I know neither of these stories is anything extraordinary, but I find this kind of thing fascinating and figured you’d be the right person to ask. I’ve had enough odd experiences in nature to keep me skeptically open-minded about there being more out there. Most notably, I once saw a ball of light in western Pennsylvania that was clear enough that I couldn’t easily dismiss it, and that experience is what originally led me to your podcast.

I really appreciate the work you do and the many hours of great stories you’ve provided for me and my dad. Thanks for everything, and for any insight you might be able to share.”

The Confessionals writes “Darren Canning joins Tony for a wide-ranging and intense conversation about deliverance, spiritual warfare, and the hidden mechanics of the supernatural world. Darren shares firsthand accounts of demonic encounters, angelic protection, witchcraft within systems of power, and how deception operates through government, religion, and culture.

He recounts dramatic moments of healing, near death, and radical faith that carried him across nations with no resources except obedience to God. The discussion also explores dreams, visions, Nephilim influence, and why purity, humility, and discernment are essential for believers navigating unseen battles. This episode is raw, unscripted, and filled with stories that challenge modern Christian comfort zones while pointing back to the authority found in Christ alone.”

Paranormal Portal writes “In this episode of Paranormal Portal, we explore a series of chilling Dogman encounter reports where fear doesn’t come from sudden violence, but from prolonged tension, close encounters, and the unsettling realization of being watched.

These accounts come from independent witnesses who describe encounters that unfold slowly — on isolated roads, near homes, and along forest edges — where something unknown paces them, observes them, and deliberately closes the distance without ever striking. All encounters are presented as reported by the witnesses themselves, and listeners are encouraged to draw their own conclusions.”

A listener writes “I moved to a fairly rural part of New York, when I was 21 years old, in 2011. You’ve interviewed a couple of people on past episodes who lived not far from me at all. One was in Wellsville, NY a somewhat zany gentleman and his sons who had an experience and another was a man who had a run-in while driving near the Kinzua Dam area.

I grew up loving the outdoors and was involved in Scouts from elementary school through high school. I was very fortunate to spend a lot of time camping, hiking, and backpacking all over the country, with many of my longer treks taking place in New Mexico and Colorado. Before moving to Cattaraugus County, I lived about 900 miles south/southeast in a very large, densely populated city. I had visited this area growing up to see family, and it always felt like a good place to slow down and escape the constant hustle and bustle so eventually, I made the move.

I found a job and a place to stay, and beyond that, my time was largely my own. I spent a lot of it exploring the 115 acres of land my grandmother owned. This region’s landscape was shaped by glaciers long ago and is part of the Allegheny Plateau. It’s very different from where I grew up and unlike anywhere else I’d seriously explored. The terrain has an odd, almost random waviness to it steep ravines, hills rising 600 feet or more, and endless nooks and crannies. It can be surprisingly disorienting.

For the first three years or so, I lived in a small town and spent most of my time alone, much of it wandering those woods. During that period, there were maybe four occasions when, completely out of nowhere, I’d get this overwhelming feeling that I needed to leave immediately. It felt like I was being watched hair standing up on the back of my neck, a deep gut instinct telling me to get out now. I’d always stop and scan my surroundings, trying to find something anything that might explain the feeling, but I never saw anything. Still, I trusted that instinct every time. I’d put my head down, keep quiet, and quickly make my way back to my truck.

I’ve encountered black bears, bear cubs, deer exploding out of the brush, and grouse flushing at my feet all of which definitely get your heart racing. But none of those experiences came close to that sudden, unprovoked need to GTFO that seemed to come from nowhere.

Fast forward to May 2025. I now have a wonderful wife and beautiful young kids. I haven’t spent much time in those woods in the last couple of years, but I still live only about two miles away as the crow flies and have been in the area for roughly ten years. Just two to three miles down the road is about 4,200 acres of state forest. The terrain makes deer hunting a real pain since motor vehicles aren’t allowed, so it doesn’t see as much traffic as other public hunting lands I’ve been on.

As often happens with young kids, they end up in the bed with their mom in the middle of the night, which usually means I get booted to the couch in the living room. From there, there’s a large picture window overlooking the valley we live in. Around 4:00 a.m., I woke up because a bright light was illuminating the paneled wall to the right of me. We live outside of town very little traffic, no streetlights and the house sits elevated above the road, so it couldn’t have been headlights. It was unusual enough to fully wake me.

I stood up and looked out the bay window across the valley at least 300 yards away, if I had to guess and saw a bright white, round light hovering off the ground. Four beams extended upward and outward from it. I stood there for several seconds, trying to make sure I was actually awake and not imagining things.

I grabbed my phone to record, but I was too freaked out to go outside onto the porch. Instead, I rested the phone against the windowpane to steady it. The moment I hit the red record button, the outward beams instantly disappeared, leaving just the light itself, which now looked more like an orb. I recorded it through the glass, which I’m sure hurt the quality, but I had this strong feeling that I didn’t want whatever it was to see me or hear me or even know I was there. I was genuinely shaken.

I watched and recorded it for a while, and it just stayed there. That made me even more uneasy, so I did what felt safest in the moment: I went back to bed, like a scared puppy, and tried to convince myself it had been some kind of sleepwalking or half-dream state. But when I woke up in the morning, the videos were still on my phone so here we are.

You know more about reports of orbs than I do, but I can’t help noticing some similarities. I’m not great with computers, but I’m trying to attach a few videos so everything is documented. There should be three clips, approximately 0:45, 3:18, and 0:26 in length. I also have photos, including some with reference sketches drawn over them.

I don’t really know what to make of it all, but that woman’s story along with many others has me wondering.”
