Jukin Media writes “With a bow and arrow in hand, this guy encountered a black bear on a trail. The wild animal charged him and tackled him to the ground before he could run away. Luckily, he was able to walk away from incident with only a bruised elbow and ego.”

That guy should been waving his arms and yelling a lot sooner. also beating branches into those logs.

Yeah, you gotta go full on Psycho Squatch with some critters… For real. I’ve never been to jail or prison but I imagine it’s pretty much the same thing, especially the first day:)

Maybe next time you will carry some bear spray!

People are all about spraying things… I think that’s pretty funny
. If you can build it, grow it, catch it, smell it or even see it, I’m sure we have a spray for it:)

Yeah, you can’t be subtle with bears but you can hide from their sight sometimes, just not their nose.
As a teenager I was chased by a black bear through the woods, another time had one climb the tree I was in within inches.
Last fall bow hunting I was ready to leave my tree stand at last light when a really big sow with tree cubs came in.
I tried to subtlety get her attention so shed take her kids and leave without totally alarming her. My decision was to making an awkward and loud drawn out buck grunt on a call I had (Buckzilla!) It basically just ticked her off and put her in defensive mode… She started chomping her mouth together in a loud popping sound.
The sound I made on that call wasn’t so dissimilar to the noise the guy in the video made… So don’t do that! Lol
It all worked out for me though as I had a plan B and a handy device to return her reply… It too made a loud pop sound into the ground beneath me, and thank goodness they bolted.
We ain’t got time for no baby momma drama round here.

Extra points for hunting with a recurve.
