My new Doctor, the old one retired, is from Harlan County. At my yearly physical in August I asked him how he liked growing up in this area and he stated he absolutely loved it. He said it took him 45 minutes to drive to school ( probably 10 miles as the birds fly). I then told him something I doubt any other patient would ask, in that I have heard a lot of Bigfoot reports coming out of this region and in fact the Daniel Boone National Forest, and if he had ever seen one, as he is a hunter also. He said no, but his best friend growning up told him of his sighting and was looking at with his scope, and he had no reason to not believe him. Then he started to talk about a few years back when Expedition Bigfoot came to his region.
