The YouTuber translucentorb writes “Recorded in eastern Oswego county in September of 2015. I wouldn’t say I’m a “believer”, but the recordings are interesting to say the least. Additionally, I have no academic or professional training or experience in zoology. Any info as to what type of animal makes these vocalizations would help satisfy my curiosity, as I have worked in around around various wilderness areas in New York State for close to a decade and have never heard anything like this before.”

There are a few scattered reports of howls and class B encounters in Central NY – Had an yet-to-be unexplained circumstance in an area in central NY Loud noise and large creature running through brush – funny thing is another member on this show had a similar encounter in the same county years before. Noise and something big running through the woods/brush. I think if they make noise loud like the video on a regular basis a grid of sound sensors can triangulate location – again – whose got the money to build a grid like that and what are the chances they start vocalizing.
BTW – What purpose does a loud vocalization inthe day serve – chase game away to another party or find another member of your party?

Area could definitely support some squatch. The Sound is not anything I would want be 10 ft. Away from.

Sounds like the real deal to me.
There is likely much more to hear if we venture away from roads so that vehicles aren’t a constant source of noise. I do not mean miles into the hinterland, but simply get on the side of a hill or embankment NOT facing a road, and things are much quieter.

It was really hard for me to hear but it kinda sounded like what I heard, but no where near as loud or as angry. What I heard was most definitely angrier. It was preceded by I guess was kinda of a grunt or growl that you could feel more than hear. The eerie thing to me was that when I had my encounter, was that either it was the fastest thing on two feet to cover the distance from where we first encountered it, to where we stopped the atvs ,. or there was another one further back on the trail. Cause the distance that it had to cover was at least 3/4 of a mile and it would have had to cover it in about a minute and a half. That second howl we heard sounded like it was standing right behind us. The terrain would have been a down hill run but through dense brush in spots and mature timber. That was iin the winter of 84 or 85 in Cortland County, New York

Wow !! That raised the hair on my neck. I’m from the same area. My guess would be multiple targets, but they are fast too. Nobody ever took me seriously when I was in upstate. I kind of gave up eventually. I’m glad to see I’m not alone. Thanks for sharing.

I have absolutely no doubt to the authenticity of this. It’s less than two hours from my sighting and we used to race super late models at Oswego in the late 80’s. Up state NY is a hot bed for activity. Growing up, we always joked about it being cows and corn. There’s more than that.

I can’t remember the episode #, but not too long ago one of two brothers from the base of the Adirondaks gave a chilling encounter. As far as territory goes, if you’re 8′ tall, it’s a days walk.

Awfully strange for a daytime setting

Funny.. each time a car goes by… they assume the talking position…….. interesting sounds though…..Ciao

I listened to it again and the howl I heard was much longer in duration too. hard to tell what that was. I don’t know if I would necessarily make the leap right to sasquatch. Does kind of sound like a cow bellering like when they need to be milked. not sure if there is a farm near by

Sounds legit. I have had numerous encounters in the state. But no sightings. I’ve heard howls like that on more than one occasion. Recently I heard the “samurai chatter” also in northeast oswego county.
