KFDM writes “Kevin Warner, a member of the Maine Bigfoot Foundation since 2021, believes there are hundreds of Bigfoots in Maine. Warner, who served as a judge at Saturday’s Sasquatch calling contest, said the foundation aims to raise awareness about Bigfoot and encourage people to share their encounters without fear of ridicule.
“There’s one that I was standing in and then I got that one that’s just a young juvenile,” Warner said, reflecting on his experiences.
Warner, who lived in Washington state for a decade, said, “I went and lived in Washington state for about a decade as a disbeliever. And after being out there, and it’s been lots of time in the woods, let’s just say I’m no longer a disbeliever.” He noted the similarities between the terrains of Washington and Maine, which are both known for Bigfoot sightings.
The contest concluded with 7-year-old Gannon winning the Bigfoot bragging rights and a $100 prize. “How do you feel knowing that you won?” Gannon was asked. “Like a great,” he replied. The event brought together believers and skeptics alike, fostering a sense of community. “We all love each other. We enjoy the lake together. We like to get together and have a good time,” said one participant.
The gathering served as a reminder of the importance of community and socializing. “Let’s get out and meet our neighbors and socialize. Have a few barbecues and a beer together,” another attendee said.”
