BBC News – Bigfoot Hunters In Kentucky

The BBC writes “Bigfoot is big news again in the United States. Not since the late 1960s, when grainy footage first emerged of a giant, ape-like creature walking upright through the woods, has there been so much interest in proving its existence.

So how exactly do you go about tempting a creature most believe is just a myth out into the open, where it can be filmed and studied?

The Kentucky Bigfoot Research Organization is a group of friends who spend their spare time investigating sightings and attempting to communicate with the elusive beasts some call the Sasquatch. They demonstrated their methods for the BBC.”

Holy smokes what does that guy have a walking stick/ staff with a butcher knife at the end?

The horn in the background song was the icing on the cake!

    Thank you, Wes ?

Definitely not their finest hour, however they have contributed much to Bigfootology over the years, especially in Kentucky and southern Indiana. I have met several of them and listened to the leader Charlie Raymond give a lecture at Salt Fork lake. I will never forget one Bigfoot that was given the nickname of Mr. Howdy. Yes this Bigfoot would stroll out in the open and hold his hand up to human as if to say Hi.
There site has hundreds of encounters and some video interviews also, with my favorite being of Ernie Brown Jr. aka The Turtleman of Animal Planet fame ” Call of the Widman ” who claims to have shot at one with a 22 at it legs when Ernie was just 9 years old in Kentucky, and raised back to his house.

I agree about it not being their finest hour. When I watched the video I thought “no…stop it…no…” and I like all of those guys Charlie Raymond is probably the nicest guy on the planet who truly cares about the subject.

It wasn’t their fault, I think the editing was a little off…It was presented in a way where I didn’t know if it was serious or not…. probably very nice, good group of folks.

I actually want one of those staff/knife tools for the thick areas in East Texas….and the snakes (I can’t take my snake ho everywhere lol).

Maybe I should say it differently, from personal experience, I worked with a British film crew on a subject we took seriously and I think they turned it into a ‘scooby doo’ type show….I was a bit taken aback but that’s just a difference in our ‘visions’ I suppose.

The B stands for Biased – it really isn’t the BBC we all knew and loved, anymore. Sorry to say. I and many others have stopped watching the BBC but we still have to pay for it! So as some SC members have noted it is probably the editing. I honestly would much rather listen to SC as I feel there is more truth and genuine people on here than anything the News channels seem to show.

Typical poor content from the BBC.

Im afraid ‘the beeb’ as we call it here has gone right down the pan. Their production is terrible now.

    Sorry guys

In attempting to convey the Sasquatch phenomenon and it’s study in a manner to be taken seriously, one is afforded very little room for error. This was an unfortunate addition to the easily-tainted field of Squatchdom….
On a far more positive note, Sasquatch Chronicles has done more for the field than anything since the PG film, with the possible exception of Doctors Bindernagel and Meldrum. Thank you for your considerable contribution Wes, it has been a pleasure to join you on this adventure for the last 4 plus years. If you ever make your way south to Eugene, the cold beers are on me!
