I am reaching out to this listener. I would really like to know what happen. A listener writes “I have never told anyone outside of family about this encounter. It’s unique in a way because my stepfather was severely mauled and survived but suffered what I learned to be ptsd.
In a nutshell I was 12 and I had a visual with what I thought was a massive bear on it’s hind legs no more than 15 ft away. A few days later the local elk herd was stampeded in the middle of the night directly through our front yard and we heard loud whistling coming from different directions. My stepdad Dean assumed some crazy poachers were harassing the elk.
And he headed out with his rifle at daybreak to investigate and our dog was with him. It turned into a violent encounter. This happened on our property in Allegany Oregon spring of 1974. There’s a lot more to this account.”

Wes,, when you interview this gentleman. I hope, I hope, would you please ask the duration of the whistle? Was it more than one syllable?? I got whistled at by something unknown (that sounded funny) I mean, something mimicked my whistle to Steve B. It was one very loud short single syllable. It was in the woods in Colorado and I never saw a thing. Still baffles me.
So sorry his step-dad got hurt. I know folks who would likely be in his step-dad’s generation, very brave and thinking the gun is the equalizer, who would not have hesitated to go out looking in woods they have hunted their entire life. Unfortunately, these things are a different story. Thanks!!

Yes, would like to hear his story and thank you, Wes, for giving folks a chance to share their experiences. I listed to David on HowToHunt.com this evening about an email he received from a man named Edgar who, as David tells it, is a physicist. Seems he was abducted and his journey was picked up by his smart phone. He received Welcome messages from countries all over the world. When he came to he had one sock missing from his shoed foot, his other foot had no sock and when he got home and undressed, his underwear was on inside out and backwards. The stories that are being shared are bizarre and troubling. You always ask people what they think Sasquatch is. Good question and I’m starting to think that there are flesh and blood animals with intelligence and then other galactic creatures that look like the Sasquatch but have the abilities that the Predator has.

Oh my gosh… his poor Dad. This area is in Coos County Oregon, which is along the Southern Oregon Coast…very rugged and beautiful country. Cant wait to hear this encounter
