A listener sent this to me and I am trying to get more information. I hope he can give me a description of the animal. More to come. He writes “In 1970 my mother worked for the Bureau of Land Management. We lived in Carson City, my parents had property of about 80 acres, me, my two brothers and my sister worked for my parents.
My mom subcontracted out to the Bureau of Land Management for the Wild Mustang population.
My dad told me how him and my mother one evening got a call of a large animal that was hit by a maintenance vehicle for the California Department of Roads off of Donner Pass up by the Lake Tahoe Nevada California side.
When they were called, my dad rode along with my mom, this was the first of January and there was snow about 3 to 4 feet high. My dad rode with my mother to this accidents that happen on Donner Pass, early that morning.
My mother had a truck and used to do her veterinarian work out of it, it had no lights and a winch. She got up to Donner Pass where the accident happened and the Department of Fish and Game were there. She was told that the animal have been hit by a snow plow and it was injured and might need to be put down.
My mother had to go over to where the animal was laying on the side of the road and it was screaming and was making some very weird noises. My mom estimated the animal to be about 700 – 900 pounds and about 11 foot tall, she’s sedated the animal with her air rifle. My dad said she was preparing another round of oxidation for the animal just in case they needed it.
My mom was told by the fish and game officer to talk to the CHP officer, he was not feeling well and my mom laughed and said “I’m only a Veterinary but I will talk to him” well he was not coherent, my mom said, he was behind the seat throwing up.
The California highway patrolman was the second person to the scene of the accident as my mom examine him she said that he needed to be transported to the hospital. She said the snow plow operator could not stand and she had to stay with him.
My mom took 3 pictures with her Polaroid for her proof so she could approach the Personal Injury Attorney in South Carolina to do her billing and while they were tending to the driver, my dad was getting the tranquilizer ready for my mother to shoot another sedative. While this was going on nobody was keeping an eye on the animal.
My dad said when they turned their lights on to make another round at the animal and examine it……it was gone and my mom said she was sure it had a broken leg.
The fish and game officer told my mother that they had a flatbed truck to remove it from the roadside. My mother gave the fish and game officer the pictures and her report of the incident.
Two days later my mom was tending to a Wild Mustang that was hit buy a car, up by Virginia City and she was stopped by a fish and game vehicle and was told not to discuss the incident with anybody.
She never heard anything more from fish and game. My mom and dad we’re discussing this maybe 20 years later and told us kids about the night of this accident off of Donner Pass in 1970.”

Oh, boy. Another near miss with good pictures. I loved Polaroid cameras, but that was a problem – you couldn’t make duplicates like you can of film cameras. Great story, though, and I wish she had told you all the details about what she thought it was/is/looked like etc.! Can’t help but wonder if another BF drug it off.

The plow operator “couldn’t stand” (maybe thought he’d hit a human?) and the CHP cop was tossing his cookies(?) wonder what they saw?
Lou V
An 11 foot 909 pound human??

I’m still trying to figure out how a swift and agile sasquatch had an accident with a snow plow? The image makes me chuckle . . .
Actually, a modern snow plow might be an interesting way to observe BF. . .they are equipped with IR, GPS, and HUDs. Perhaps the big fella thought it was some sort of wooly mammoth?! (JK)

Million dollar question . Your mom is a veterinarian , was the wounded animal a Bigfoot ? Iam assuming yes .
Wes
I am with you Monte…I want more information. I sent the person a message as soon as I know I will update the blog.
Melanie W
I, too, am eagerly awaiting more info on this one, Wes. Thanks for being there, and being a magnet for this kind of info!

Mom & Dad didn’t seem to be phased by the creature. Perhaps this wasn’t there 1st bigfoot injuried by the roadside encounter??

David J.,your a good man bringing this one to the table light- thank you!

Oh yeah! we want this one bad LOL!

I would have to guess there are/were dozens of situations like this and they are kept quiet as we all would imagine. Thanks for sharing.

I’m a LEO (Deputy Chief) and am fascinated of reports of monkees being truck by motor vehicles. I suspect that this may be the method by which a type specimen is finally obtained. A very dead BF hit by an 18 wheeler an some Interstate is pretty much unequivocal. I don’t believe for a moment that some shadowy MIB agency could show up, grab the carcass, and put a lid on the incident before it went out far & wide. In this age of smart phones, social media, and lightning fast 24 hour news cycles, the incident & photos/video of the scene would be impossible to suppress…
Daniel S
In your position as a deputy chief, you probably know how thing’s work in these situations and I agree that footage and photographs of this topic should be more chanced than ever before, but there are lots on the net, not so much in the media, I also see how suppression of such materials could be orcastraited, if you didn’t leave this comment I would not know of your exsistance and if I did not reply you would not know of mine, good to hear that professionals look into such matters.

John B., I believe that the control that corporations have over the media–they own it, after all–accounts for the fact that we haven’t seen good footage already. If it’s bad for business, it won’t air. Huge gorilla men who eat little children are bad for business. People can be threatened, their computers and phones confiscated. Facebook pages can be shut down. All internet traffic is monitored by the NSA. It all happens routinely, they’ve got it down to a science, much more so than in the 70’s. In fact, if it’s true that phone cameras made a difference, I think we all would have seen a great video by now. And it could happen, it could slip under the radar. But it would have to be very quick and very coordinated so as to go viral almost instantly, in my opinion, and even so the people who leaked the images or footage might have to pay a price….I wonder if the ill personnel weren’t getting hit with infrasound, or otherwise being sickened and weakened by the vocal output of the BF? If they do us IS, then that might be the default for calling other BF is one is in trouble, since it travels so far compared to higher-pitched sound. People report that a BF sounds like a freight train from 100 yards, imagine a sasquatch screaming bloody murder at closer range, and letting off his fight-or-flight, skunk-ape BO! I’d probably puke, too.

Preach on brotha’ !!! You bring up some very thought provoking questions regarding the ultrasound. . .
Most people are truly unaware of the extensive measures our U.S. government monitors both public and private citizens. It’s not so much about ensuring our safety from terrorism. The data is collected for statistics in an attempt to strategically and methodically control the masses for their own selfish agenda. . . to persist and prevail as the most powerful empire on the planet. We are no longer United States of America, we are part of a well-oiled machine that is The United States of America, Inc. The truth is unnerving!
Otherwise, you might actually consider living “off the grid”, like ‘No-Shoes-Curley’ . . .he’s really not that crazy, just eccentric . . .

Let’s hope this isn’t an April fools joke. @jon: let’s not forget about the rising number of idiots in the country.

Maybe someone can explain why Sasquatch related 911 calls get erased and Police cruiser dash-cam footage gets deleted.(not the one on youtube that everyone says is a hoax anyways, the one from the Indian Reservation mentioned on one of the episodes here.)
😀
Sid N
The CHP seemed to have symptoms due to ultrasound, being incoherent, nausea, etc., these are the symptoms often described. Coonbo and Bear have spoken of witnessing these symptoms in individuals as well as many other reports.

Really cool story would love to hear from the woman who examined the creature!

What I find amazing is this Thing weighing 700 to 900 LBS and 11 feet tall screaming in pain on the side of the road then it is just gone when ever one is looking the other way seems a little far fetch but hey maybe it did happen I was not there would like to see the billing report for detail. But never will so one more mystery
Karen C
Whats to say that his calls were’nt answered? You know how quick they are, family to the rescue….
Michael O
I agree maybe but how is it no one herd a thing just saying
