A listener writes “My brother and I went out one warm August night for a hike. The Sonoran desert is blistering hot during the day so we set out hoping to see some wildlife during the cooler hours of the day, when the sun is down.

He had heard about this app called Rando naughting, and the idea is that it picks a random coordinates to send you to. You think about something you want to manifest and it’s supposed to put you in a place where the universes path otherwise wouldn’t have placed you, disrupting the matrix as some say.

We downloaded the app, and set out looking for this random set of numbers on a map. It was around 1030pm and still about 101 degrees out. We got to this trailhead and immediately had an Erie feeling in our guts. We both felt like someone was watching us the second we got there. We both looked at each other, acknowledging our discomfort but to scared to discuss it. We just kept walking further through the wash and up the bank. At this point we were at least 200 yards from our car. We both kept looking back behind us, as that Erie feeling stayed with us and got stronger the further we went.

My brother turns around sharply and said.. “someone is by our jeep, do you see that?” I looked and I could see a figure near the car, which is taller than my brother who is 6’ tall. My brother started shouting, and looking for what it could possibly be, we thought maybe a horse or random biker out late but we were boggled at what was happening. We were in the middle of nowhere. He kept shouting and my stomach knotted up, I felt dizzy and my ears felt like they were ringing. I asked him “should we go back?” He replied in a whisper that we should head back slowly and check it out to make sure it’s not some dumb kids messing with our car.

Then suddenly my brother grabs my arm and point to the bush about 20 ft left of our jeep, there was a set of eyes peeking over the bush. We knew they were eyes because we both saw them blink multiple times, and they glowed a soft blue color. It appeared to be dodging out of sight from our flashlight and then just stopped with its head at the top of the bush like it was standing upright. We starting running and shouting, both scared and not wanting to be followed we attempting to go find whatever this was. As we went through the wash we lost sight of its eyes. As we came up the other side of the bank and the beginning of the trail we started frantically looking for it again, but no sign of it was around. We walked up to the exact bush we saw it at and gasped, that bush was over 6 1/2 feet tall, whatever was standing behind it had to have been at least 7-8 feet tall. We immediately ran to the jeep started looking for footprints or anything we could to help us place what happened.

My brother and I both talked about what we saw.. the big blue eyes, they were not an owl, we know what owls look like and they don’t bob their heads around, it couldn’t have been a cougar, their eyes glow a green/white and no way could it stand up that tall. We for the life of us couldn’t shake the sick feeling we had in our guts u til we got in the car and left. We were both shaking as we climbed into the jeep and started it up.

We both think it was a Sasquatch. We were in the middle of a giant preserve with plenty of brush for them to hide and blend in. I took my dad there about 6 months later and hadn’t told him the full details of the story yet. He took 5-6 steps out onto the trail and immediately said “this isn’t a good place, theres a bad feeling here”.

I’ve never gone back at night and been too scared to attempt it again. We’ve spend a lot of time googling and researching eye colors of animals, and energy fields. Whatever it was had some ability to manipulate the energy around us. It just felt weird!”
