I have been watching all his interviews and shows, the Monsterquest episodes, The Destination Truth and Expedition Unknown…Les Stroud -Survivorman … always enjoyed hearing him speak, his gentle calm demeanor, expertise and field knowledge was/is inspiring not just about Sasquatch research but about scientific curiousity. Most importantly was his skill at public discourse finding ways for everyone to be part of the conversation. He was not polarizing or disparaging of anyone. His approach to the subject and love for the community is as inspiring as his research.

Well stated Dana B. My first introduction to him, I believe, was in the second MonsterQuest episode ( I think in 2007 ) at Snelgrove Lake, Ontario. It was a fishing cabin out in the middle of nowhere and fly in by float plane. And yet he and Curt Nelson, Biologist at University of Minnesota and the film crew, were getting stones thrown at them late at night that chased them back into the cabin. With Jeff’s demeanor, I could tell this was not orchastrated. Then finding the dryed blood and some hair on a nail board at the door entrance with a blood outline that was appx. 17 inches in length and maybe 8 inches wide, I knew this was no bear that had broke into the cabin and caused havok, which was the original impetus to bring Jeff Medrum and crew that far North to explore. This episode is what brought me aboard back then to explore Bigfootology.

I was quite interested in Dr Meldrum. I myself do not believe in the existence of a Bigfoot. But it was People like Dr. Meldrum who have given me a sliver of a chance that there is something out there unknown to man, despite all the BS stories I hear. You have to admit, folks, there are some tall tales out there, but through Jeff Meldrum’s scientific analysis of the Creature with the explanation of the Foot and how it withstands the weight of a creature that big, bring forth a slight possibility that we have a neighbor living in our woods that makes Shaq O’Neill look like one of the munchkins in the Wizard of Oz. I hope that if someone takes his place, they have the education and background that can explain the physical aspects of a creature that big and what makes it so unusual in its size, as well as Dr Meldrum could. and not some run-of-the-mill country bumpkin that calls himself an expert just because he heard a weird sound in the woods and studied it, and now he calls himself an expert., Dr Meldrum. He is as close to an expert on Sasquatch as you can get, and to that I give him the respect that is due to him. Thank you, Dr Jeff Meldrum, you have, through your studies and knowledge, shed a sliver of light for me that there is a possibility Sasquatch does exist, May you rest in peace, and may the Lord comfort your family
