A listener describes an encounter when he was young, he writes “We had just moved from Troy, Missouri, to rural Bollinger County. We went from living in a subdivision to a house on 28 acres, with a pond on the property. The encounter happened maybe two or three months after we moved in.
I was outside playing by myself. I’m an only child, and I was on the side of the house in a section of long grass that bordered the woods. I was kicking one of those super-light balls you could buy at Walmart back and forth across the yard.
Then I got the distinct feeling that something was watching me. I glanced toward the woods. There was a tall, slender, hairy, upright being hanging onto a tree with one arm, looking directly at me. It was rocking back and forth while holding onto the tree.
Thinking about it all these years later, I get the feeling that there was some kind of excitement or curiosity in the way it was watching me. It didn’t seem angry or aggressive. It just seemed very interested in me.
But it did not look like the typical representation of a Sasquatch. I’ve heard people on your show describe creatures that looked more like runners or swimmers, and that’s probably the best comparison I can make. It was extremely slender but very tall. I would estimate it was close to seven feet tall, maybe even eight.
The hair was a light brown, almost semi-golden color, and it was incredibly shiny. I remember the sunlight actually glinting off of it.
And it looked surprisingly well-groomed. The hair looked almost combed. It looked like the thing had just finished using Mane ‘n Tail shampoo and then blow-dried itself or something. We stared at each other for what felt like forever probably somewhere around 45 seconds to a minute.
Then I screamed.
I turned and ran up the yard toward the house. When I looked back, the creature was walking down into the woods, heading toward the pond. I had several more strange experiences on that property, although none were quite as shocking as that first encounter.
I’m pretty sure that at least one of those experiences involved something looking through my bedroom window at night. I told my parents that I had seen a face looking at me.
It was huge.
I was probably around six years old, and I was so scared that I made my parents put blinds on my windows. Not long after that encounter, some of the farmers around us started having problems. Chicken coops were being broken into, and some of their corn feed was being ripped into and disappearing.
People wondered if there was a loose cougar, bobcat, or something similar in the area. But as far as I knew, those animals don’t exactly eat corn. There were a couple of other strange things that happened to me during my childhood there. I often felt like I was being watched, especially at night.
I became afraid of the windows.
Even as a kid, I had the feeling that something was out there watching the house.”

I can see why you got one, probably on the young side, interested with that ball. I bet it wished at the time to get out their and play with you and the ball.

Very compelling encounters. Thanks for sharing and Thanks Wes for posting.

Charles R,
I thought the same thing about the ball. If there is a connection between these creatures and light orbs, I wonder what they would think about a kid kicking one around?
