A listeners writes “I’ve been wrestling with an experience I had five years ago while working as a first responder in East Tennessee. Let me tell you my story, and I’ll let you speculate on what it is that I saw.
I don’t remember the exact date, but I know it was between the hours of 2-3 AM between Thanksgiving and Christmas in Sullivan County, Tennessee, near the Hawkins County border in 2020. A more exact location would be the adjacent field/treeline at the intersection of Morelock Road/Beech Creek Road (TN Hwy 347). As I said before, I was covering a shift on a rescue truck for the volunteer fire department I was a member of. In that role, I responded to emergency medical, fire, and rescue calls in my area and rendered care until an ambulance arrived. My vehicle was a modified F250 pickup truck complete with lights and sirens. I responded to a call at the brick home near the intersection I mentioned before. After the call was over, the patient transported by the ambulance, I returned to my vehicle and put my medical bag in the truck.
The truck was parked in the gravel pull-off beside of the brick house in front of an old, unoccupied building to leave room for the ambulance in the driveway of the house where the patient was. The rear of the truck was facing Beech Creek Rd and the front was facing the old building. My red and white emergency lights were still flashing. As I put my bag in the back seat of the truck, I got this overwhelming feeling of dread, like something was watching me.
It was one of those feelings that gives you goosebumps, for lack of a better word. I looked to my right, toward Beech Creek Road, and saw a pair of red eyes staring at me in the wood line approximately thirty or forty yards off the roadway. The eyes were only illuminated when the emergency lights on my truck flashed. I couldn’t see any body features or any kind of silhouette. All I saw was the eyes. They were stationary and were staring constantly at me. I couldn’t help but keep looking at them but I kept getting increasingly more nervous and nervous to the point that I felt I needed to get out of there.
I honestly felt terrified as I left because I had to back my truck up toward the eyes onto Beech Creek Road to begin my return trip to my station. I did so very quickly and, unfortunately, was too cowardly to turn on my scene lights in the direction of the eyes to see what was there. I just got out of Dodge as quick as I could. I’ve been in many tense situations in my tenure as an EMT, but that one takes the cake and I don’t know why. I’m no longer with that department due to healthcare problems, but I did run calls in that area afterward and never had any other encounters.
Interestingly enough, my friend (and fellow first responder), had an experience with a creature on the same stretch of roadway where it chased him in his vehicle.
Perhaps what’s more disturbing is the fact that a small child, Summer Wells, disappeared from her home without a trace the following June (2021) and still hasn’t been found. Local, state, and federal entities have combed the area substantially and not a trace was found. Search dogs tracked her scent to a point near Beech Creek Road but then refused to track anywhere else. That leaves two options, either she was taken in a vehicle or the dogs were afraid to track further. What’s also wild was the number of federal entities that saturated the area. FBI and even homeland security was spotted in the area along with Black hawk helicopters and countless unmarked vehicles with government tags. It really makes you wonder.
That’s it in a nutshell. I am very interested in the Bigfoot/Sasquatch subject and would love to learn more, particularly of sightings in my area.”

i’ve been waiting a long time to share some frustration, , and I guess certain levels of disappointment, and I’m so vested into Sasquatch Chronicles , It’s been truly become really what I’m most vested in at 60 years old I went way down the rabbits Hole I was told not to I just don’t think I was cognizant of it
I have spent seven years taking 279 testimonies for another researcher self granted in one area are they a threat to the Homosapien?, are these creatures a threat to us, i’m not sure about anything in this world anymore because it’s become believe zero what you hear in 10% of what you see with the technology with AI it’s just gonna become much more of a problem. My area concentrations are there that threat to humans that’s not what this summary/observation is about,
“ The Big Foot are not a threat to Man, But we the homo Sapiens the real monsters are a threat to the Apex hominoid colony
Then I believe this is about Sasquatch Chronicles. Wess went through the door first the first one through the door always gets bloodied. Wess put his ears in. He put his time in. wess is always been respectful, professional, courteous, and kind to a fault to all his guests. There’s no one that can deny that.,
and maybe it’s just I have changed to where what once stimulated me has become so boring and redundant and Wess I think part of him has gotten bored and frustrated because for him to be the most synonymous name in the podcast world if not in the top five God rest, Jeff Meldrum It’s gotta take a psychological toll on him. Maybe he needed to back away and take a mini vacation and go in different directions maybe he has a lot of interests and finds other phenomenons extraordinary., maybe the UFOs, the drones, the dog man, the men maybe they all have developed you do something long enough in life most of the time you need a break,
with that being said with paying for service, it’s to hear about Sasquatch not about the independence of our country not about pyramids not about other crypto’s so he does have a responsibility to us now with that being said at the end of the day it’s Wess’s world. We don’t like it. He’ll gladly refund our money and tell us to hit the road, I truly get that, I don’t know Wess has got testimony he hast to stay within FAA guidelines with I don’t know if he just doesn’t believe some of the fantastic adrenaline provoking testimonies. I guess we have to trust him to some extent, but I’m having a problem with the direction of the content very really just shows stay the successful and lose their bump in the night. He knows what his guests want he knows what his customers want yet he’s late leaving going in different directions. I’ll never understand the thousand episode I thought for sure it was gonna be explained. I thought it was going to do something spectacular. I thought if I remember correctly, it was gonna be. that Christmas
it’s still lies a mystery. Why didn’t he do something spectacular on actually such a milestone for him why didn’t he explain to us why he didn’t have 1000 show
Wes does seem highly intelligent yet he’s not branching out with some different directions is that giving away any guest appearances we can excursions that’s just nothing that he’s trying to do for his lessons I mean right down to Sasquatch Chronicles gift shot I mean his merch that’s it wouldn’t anyone else love to wear something with extra extraordinary depth to it his merchandise shop is retail store couldn’t be more basic. There’s nothing in there that isn’t just with all respect, plain and boring. Maybe he’s just “had enough”
I mean, it certainly can’t be about the money anymore. Maybe he needs another host reason I’m posting this long ramble tonight is first of all to share that tonight‘s testimony is one of the best I’ve heard in years and years thank you Wess and thank you to your guest extra tonight extraordinarily crisp, and brilliant , and I’ll be the first one to testify(

, I truly apologize for this embarrassingly long text but number one I wanted to say tonight is probably in the top 3 to 5 shows of all time it is just incredibly riveting and I guess at the end of all this monkey chatter no pun intended how come all the shows aren’t as just as intense as tonight or you know it almost seems like with all respect Wess you choose them more benign ones or maybe ones that appeal to you. so I guess my real question is how come there’s not more stories like this I’m sure I’m gonna regret this long ramble tonight, but you don’t respond anyhow so it wouldn’t make a difference if anything I could get bounced off the platform. I guess I’ve been very frustrated for a long time. You always used to say your thick skin keep it professional I can take a punch in the face and a question, don’t insult my guests and try to stay open. again, I apologize for the length of this to everyone or anyone else that read it Wess this is not an attack on you. And I’m not gonna kiss up, but I think it’s fair To say I’ve almost certainty there’s nobody more educated on these Apex hominoid phenomenon’s then you are inconsistently you step up to the plate
And your mother and father should be proud because they did raise a man a tremendous character, kindness, and respect every guest and that must be difficult. It’s own right

Bc most encounters are in fact mundane and boring. It’s very rare someone has a riveting story and out of every ten intense stories I guarantee only one is probably in fact real and not embellished. He’s also at the mercy of people coming to him to tell their story. Not every person is open to it and the encounters that are real and are intense often leave people so traumatized they refuse to speak of it. I like everything about Wes. I respect him more than anyone else in this community and I do because out of the thousands of encounters he has listened to he still admits he doesn’t know. Go listen to Clif and Matt Moneymaker those guys refuse to listen to any encounters that don’t fit into their box of what they believe Bigfoot to be. Clif flat out speaks as if it’s just some primate who won’t hurt you like he’s some expert who dissected one and he hasn’t even had a face to face encounter. Not trying to call these guys out or maybe I am bc I’ve had enough of the know it alls. Nobody is an expert in this subject and Wes is a standup guy to admit that. In fact I feel he doesn’t get enough credit. I often don’t comment on here much but I sit back and watch and listen and he constantly promotes other channels, do they do the same for him? I could only hope to one day be as good a person as him. He’s kind, he’s smart he never interrupts and he doesn’t boast. Those who are exalted shall be humbled and those who are humble shall be exalted.

Well put, Heather. If every episode was a harrowing tale of a near death escape from a band of Sasquatch, we would all question the authenticity. He brings the guests on and we hear the story straight from the horse’s mouth. I also listen to many other channels/podcasts and Wes is certainly one of the best out there. I like when when Wes introduces other subjects such as dogman, ghosts, giants, little people and so on, but then he gets heat from the “Sasquatch stories only” people. I’ll bet there are many interesting stories he could air about other topics to keep things interesting, but then the complaints will roll in. Damned if you do, and damned if you don’t.

Don I never mind when he shares other cryptid encounters bc at the end of the day who knows what anyone truely saw and maybe by sharing other things it will eventually link everything together and make more sense. Sometimes I hear people say they think they saw a rake but was it just a Sasquatch with no hair or was it something entirely different. I think they are somehow all connected and personally I come on here to listen and be a part of like minded individuals who don’t judge. I can’t talk to anybody in my life about this stuff they either don’t care or they think I’m crazy. I’m sure Wes is tired. It’s a thankless job and I feel he has done sooooo much for the community and he’s not given enough recognition. He’s the unsung hero in my book. They should make a tv show o all the encounters that were shared on his podcast. I would love to watch that.

I have been listening since early 2015, I miss some of the special shows Wes would have with guests like Woody and others,, they would crack me up with some of the shenanigans and jokes, and the determination to dig for anwsers, I think Wes is sounding at times like he needs a break or a change up with the show or something. Some of the sparkle is missing, perhaps the government put pressure on him for looking at the Sasquatch phenomenon too deeply.
The missing 1000 episode is peculiar, I seem to revisit the earlier shows often, and wonder what happened to guests like the brothers “grab a gun” episode or Bob and the Texas crew. I Love SC and hope Wes is okay, 🙏

Not to mention the intersection of Morelock and Beech Creek Drive. The Morlocks were the sub human creatures in H G Wells “The Time Machine” They fed upon the above ground humans, The Eloi, who had devolved into nothing more than food for the Morlocks. The Eloi by this time had become humans that had no conscious.
I feel so sad about Summer Wells for her and her parents.

Really admire Wes and his commitment to allowing witnesses to tell their stories without a lot of editorial commentary. If we are going to learn more about this phenomenon, we need these unfiltered data points.
I think we need to hear the other cryptid stories for the same reason. While not the same species, they all have this other-world like nature. Hidden from easy view, maybe from a different realm than ours. We need these other bread crumbs to follow their trail…
