A listener writes “Dear Wes, My adult children insisted I share this with you, telling me that yours is the best Bigfoot podcast out there. Though I am no stranger to the paranormal, (or anomalous, as I refer to the spooky), I have never experienced an encounter like the one my husband and I had a few days ago in the national forest in Northern Lower Michigan on the full moon.
We did not see them, but heard them clear and close, making a whoop that neither of us had ever heard, and they left an unmistakable sign of their presence. We had been sitting in silence as the sun set, waiting for the full moon to rise. We had no fire, no libation, no conversation, and almost no movement for more than 90 minutes.
The only sound was the river nearby, spring peepers, and buzzing insects. I sensed what I thought was an animal nearby, but didn’t see anything, except vague movement near the edge of the grove where we sat. At one point it grew cold, the peepers stopped chirping, and the woods went silent. I remarked that it was getting chilly, and that the moon was obscured by cloud cover, so suggested we leave. Again, without talking, we made our way to the car.
When we were about 20 feet from it we heard a loud two-pitched whoop. We froze, and it happened again. This sound was extremely close. The call belonged to no night bird, or any other creature we had ever heard. We froze each time it whooped, then took a few more steps toward the car only for it to whoop again. Then we heard a response from about a quarter mile away that matched the one next to us. When the whoops ceased completely we loaded up and drove a weary, determined to google owl cries to see if we could find a match.
When we hit the pavement we stopped on the deserted road to listen to peepers. Checking the rear view mirror to make sure no vehicles were approaching, I noticed a large handprint on the back windshield of my car. It was freaky to say the least. We took some photos that I will add at the end of this correspondence. When we arrived home and looked at the handprint under the light it really blew our minds!
The handprint was larger than either of our hands and appeared to have been made with some chalk like or claylike substance. We took multiple photos.
Later that night when I shared photos and the story with my kids via chat, they shared audio of Bigfoot whoops that matched exactly with what we heard. I collected the print the next morning using clear contact paper because rain was in the forecast, and I wanted to preserve it.
This was a first for both my husband and me. I’m including a link to a video by daughter created using our photos, video, and me telling about what happened. I think it will demonstrate quite clearly what we encountered. My kids tell me that there are places to document encounters such as this, but I have no clue who would benefit from the evidence we collected. I have no desire to reveal the location. This place in the forest is sacred to me. I wish to protect all of our relatives, physical or not, who dwell there.”

Wow, and yes a human hand for comparison would have been beneficial. What part of Northern Michigan did this occur in. Both my wife and myself have had experience in the Huron National Forest, Iosco and Oscoda counties?

What a profound experience and thank you for sharing it with us. You are obviously respectful and peaceful enough that this Old Man of the Forest felt safe enough to come forward and leave you a little something on your vehicle. Those were some long fingers, for sure. Thank you for leaving small gifts when you enter their home. I think so many humans enter the forest as if we own it like we do with all things and we don’t. It is a magical, mystical place and entering it respectfully with good intent is important. I hope if you have any further experiences, you will share them with us. Tell your children thank you for sending you this way, too.

Just hours ago I found out through a friend who I haven’t spoken to since 2012, that before driving past that Sasquatch I saw with the blue light near its right elbow (maybe 4-5 years ago) crossing a river bridge in Northern Wisconsin, someone I know saw it years before that as well.
I recently just gave this other (unknown to me at the time) witness a fishing pole, as his gear recently got stolen. Him and I grew up next to each other as kids but not real close after that. I haven’t talked to him personally yet and don’t have his number but I hear the encounter totally freaked him out.
From this mutual source who knows my childhood neighbor better, I hear he’s the kind of person who gets angry when they get scared… Apparently when he saw it years ago before I saw it, he wanted to hunt it, track it and put it down. I also hear he got teased quite a bit from telling his encounter to his buddies after it happened as well.
I’m telling you guys, I know what I’m looking at when I see something out of the ordinary, and occasionally I get something like this random prior encounter by someone I haven’t talked to (the mutual friend) in a long time to validate it. From what I’ve seen this being do, it’s not an ape or anything of the sort. IDK how it’s exactly doing these more supernatural feats that I’ve personally seen, but it seems to point towards something spiritually dark if you ask me.
