There have been quite a few paranormal challenges over the years, with the James Randi Educational Foundation’s $1 million challenge for proof of psychic abilities being perhaps the most prolific.
One such challenge that remains ongoing is the CFIIG (Center for Inquiry Investigations Group ) Paranormal Challenge which is offering $500,000 to anyone who can “demonstrate any paranormal, supernatural, or occult power under scientific test conditions.”
Based in Los Angeles, the CFIIG aims to “spread a plague of skepticism across the world” and approaches its work “from the perspective of science-based skepticism.”
According to the group’s website, applicants will need to be able to perform their ability reliably on demand and can do so either online or by meeting up with one of the group’s representatives in person.
“CFIIG will work with applicants to design the test protocol and define the conditions under which the test will take place,” the website states.
“In most cases, the applicant will be asked to perform an informal demonstration of the claimed ability or phenomenon; if the demonstration is successful, it will be followed by a formal test, which will be administered by CFIIG representatives.”
There is even a prize of $5,000 to anyone who refers a winning applicant to the group.
Full details of the challenge and how to take part can be found here

“👌One does not simply make the Sasquatch show up to a CFIIG testing facility.” Haha!
But seriously folks… This “offer” seems to me a lot like coercive exploitation compounded with potential for tactical spiritual abuse.
One groups personal lacking in the inability to comprehend the existence of phenomena beyond their own personal skin or journey sure seems a lot like a cosmic black hole trying to claim the unique individual worlds of others by sucking them into its own personal space or darkness.
You can’t buy personal on-demand miracles, especially with a temptation or
(by-way-of) “the root of evil” as I see it under these conditions… This only accumulates more nothingness in the darkness. You also can’t disprove phenomena this way to everyone either, only to yourself.
You might eventually find out someday that you can’t buy your way into your own positive personal faith… Just the acting lessons and the temporary costume. Mo money mo costumes… usually.
The universe and everything created within it already has countless natural and yet unexplained phenomena that was put here for mankind to discover and experience individually without having to pick on other individuals and blind them with personal perceptions. There are miracles happening right in front of your eyes (for free) every single moment, for everyone.
If you have honest money, good 👍🏼, I hope you spend it wisely and generously in an uplifting way with the have-nots (as this is unblinding). Give, don’t try to take away from others, and definitely not in any amount of their faith or positive beliefs.
People that don’t see this have their head stuck somewhere, maybe up this proverbial cosmic black hole of their own existence IMO. The sad part is, that when we become so skeptical to miracles and the unexplained and so bound to only the repeatable sciences… self absorbed to mainly our own physical presence or small group we’ve then lost a true opportunity at wonder, discovery and appreciation of all the fascinating and unique worlds that exist not only among the stars but also the fascinating worlds within our reach for potential and positive growth that exist inside every single one of us.
But… If they want to give away half a mill I could video chat and drop a few apples on the floor for them… I’m pretty sure gravity is a phenomenon that’s repeatable and still isn’t proven beyond a theory yet:)
Chew on that.🙏🏼🌞

CFIIG’s website appears to be an effort to recruit new members or fellow Skeptics rather than an effort to find people with extraordinary powers. For example, their polished video presentations are directed to recruiting skeptics or members and not to to people who may wish to apply for testing. All member may attend two free meetings and are asked to donate money to CFIIG. Anyone who wants a crack at the 500k must agree to pay all of CFIIG’s expenses incurred by them to interview and test you. If you join CFIIG as a fellow skeptic, they offer training in investigations, whether you have any scientific education or not. This sounds like a very sophisticated scheme to recruit donating or paying skeptics, rather than an effort to find the truth. I wonder where all the money is going, because they have never paid out the 500k or the 5k finders fee and by their own admission most applicants for the 500k drop out during the process, no doubt due to the costs being asked of them.

Thanks for the info Mathew W. I, myself, do not need a bunch of quack dis believers, to try and find what is termed paranormal. The fact is that some people are able to use some power, however this works, in psychic, channeling, heightened sense of awarness, etc, ect, and right now there is no way to measure this, it is just that some do. In the Bigfoot field, how many witnesses has Wes interviewed, that had that feeling of being watched all the way to total dread about what they were feeling, before even witnessing the Bigfoot. The answer is a huge portion of Wes’ guest. And then there is the forest going completely silent, what is this about?
