A listener writes “I had a encounter in 2020 in October. Me an my wife were coming back from visiting my family in southern California. We are now living in central California near Porterville CA.
It was late at night around 11:50pm I was driving on the freeway that connects Bakersfield to Porterville (99fwy) . I was making great time going about 70 mph until I go stuck behind a trailer, so slowed down to 60. I saw in the near distance what looked to be a large coyote on it’s haunches on the roadside, the big rigs light s where about to pass him so I turned on my high beams to get a better look at the “coyote”. When they came on I saw that it was very thick and big and it jumped on to the road and it stood up on two feet and started to run down the side of the semi , I was going about 60mph and it took a step in front of my car and jumped over it and landed about 15ft in a ditch on the side of the road. This thing was big it was thick and had a coyote or wolf head on it.
I got goosebumps all over my body, my wife and kids where with me. My wife didn’t see it because she was distracted with my kids in the back seat but when she saw me she said I was as white as a ghost. And immediately asked what was wrong. I asked her if she saw that she said no. The encounter lasted less the 30 second s but I got a good enough look at the thing and the way it ran, and how big it was.”
Spoke to the witness and he has agreed to come on the show.
