I know there’s no gorillas on Vancouver Island but it looks like a silver back to me. Having said that, I guess that leaves Sassy as the other possibility. Thanks for sharing.

Let’s be honest, I’ve seen a ton of bears in the woods, this isn’t a bear. ( bears can stand and lean on a tree or walk upright maybe 5 feet!) Looks like a silverback and I highly doubt there are any gorillas in Canada ( How would they live through a Canadian winter?) Looks like a Sasquatch to me. This is just My opinion.

(New Jersey) I think when you look at a video like this, you have to watch it many times to Try to determine What you are looking at. I believe we are looking at the Back of a large creature. At about the 12 second mark, some small leaves on the left of the screen seem to shake. Of course it’s a guess, but I think the animal might be feeding on some berries or leaves. The animal then appears to slowly walk off to its right. It appears to have very thick gray hair/fur. Is it a Sasquatch? Could be. Maybe someone like Thinker Thunker could take a look.

From the number of encounters on Vancouver Island, I do believe they are there, but we have to question what we don’t know for certain.
Might I suggest this could be a moose? A gray moose can look old, but the coloring is mostly likely caused by a tick infestation.

Should have rushed it with camera on!! BANZAI!!!!

At second :44 it almost seems to glance back at them.
And I agree with them, it looks too horizontal/tall
to be a bear. The hair appears gray, silverback-ish.
I’m thinking were looking at the back and side of whatever it is?
It seems weird ‘it’ doesn’t seem to notice the couple.

Wow, that did not move like a bear….and there are no silver back gorilla’s living there. It almost seemed like it turned its head towards them slightly. Makes you wonder if it was alone or if there were others in the area. It gave me the creeps.

watching it a couple more times it looks like it reaches out with its arm towards the left of the screen about 1:40. If I am seeing what I think I am, then it has a very long reach…did anyone else see that?
