Brent writes “Tonight, on the #Paranormal Portal, we welcome Australia’s own Dean Harrison! Dean has dedicated his life to researching Yowies (Australia’s Bigfoot). Dean’s journey has spanned decades and he has circled the globe to pursue the truth of these elusive beings. In addition, Dean created Australia Yowie Research which is tied into world-wide research groups and has created yowiehunters.com.au as both a comprehensive resource for Yowie research, as well as a database of reported sightings.”

7000 years ago land bricge!?! Makes his whole talk invalid when he is so extremely far off

Yes. There was a land bridge, just a couple of 50km straights of water to cross. It’s a shame he said that early on. No mention of homo frorenses being a candidate for our small yowie either.
I remember a conversation between a group of then 11 year olds back in 1973, I grew up in the suburbs of Newcastle, about the monkeys that lived in the bush in a certain place. Now that is easily dismissed except for the fact that there were big one, bigger than a man and small ones our size. No one had heard of yowies or bigfoot back then.

50 km is not a land bridge this has been extensibely studied and lnow for decades. The big issue is arrival of humans (boats). And virtually no infigenous placental mammals. Isolated millions of years. The study of Flores tells a lot. There is a great book – a new human. Plenty of detail written by the lead investigator. I cant type on this damned phone sorry
