I so sorry to hear this. I normally avoid drama in the bigfoot world but how could the 50th Anniversary event for Patterson-Gimlin Bigfoot film go south like it did? It truly saddens me to know that Mr. Gimlin was treated in such an ill manner. I for one would be absolutely thrilled to listen to him speak! He is truly a treasure. This mystery of the Sasquatch will never be solved if the Bigfoot community continues to eat one another alive. When you say no one is bigger in the Bigfoot community than Bob Gimlin – For Sure. My blood boils right now with whatever shenanigans was pulled on this wonderful man. I would like to know why, although I can probably guess. Marc Dewerth was in on this – for what purpose. Bob Gimlin travels to your Salt Fork Lake, OH conference almost every year and this is how he is treated. Are you freaking kidding me. I suspect it is because Russ is making a full length documentary and jealousy is afoot. Bob being 86 years old now time is running short. It has been a wish for years now that this project be done in his lifetime so he can help and be a participant. Good grief. Is there no end to some of the stupidity in this field?
On a side note it is great to see that Bob is still in good health and spirits and I hope this project comes to completion soon. The public needs to see it.

Welcome to the nasty process of discovery in Science. If you’ve ever thought average peeps are nasty, rude, disrespectful and cruel to each other you might as well transfer that opinion to Scientists.
This is perhaps the biggest discovery of the modern era. It will get ugly and good people will get defamed, disrespected and pushed aside. It won’t be pretty. In fact, it will be just the opposite. The people who have been trudging or plugging along gathering evidence will be pushed aside. Big name scientists will take over or scientists with more appropriate credentials will take the lead.
It’s happened so many times as to be almost Blasé. These people will fight for history and legacy which means more then just about anything to legit Scientists.
This is a demonstration of what is to come.
Bob is a good man. He’ll never get what we think he deserves.
The non-Scientists around Meldrum will be pushed aside like dust from a table. Heck, Meldrum might not get center stage. There are other big name primatologists who may decide to steal center stage from him.
The solace in all this is all those non-scientists self-proclamated Sasquatch researchers who treated Bob poorly will get left out of the history books as well.

I am hearing a whole other different story. One that of Russ Acord acting like he was Jesus and you could only speak and handle through him to get to Bob. Demanding all sorts of stipulations.
