A listener writes “Hello Wes, I would like to start off by saying I’m a huge fan of the show and think what you do for people is truly a one of a kind service by providing a save outlet for them to turn to without being criticized and ridiculed. But anyways to get to my encounter.
It’s nothing real crazy but it still gives me chills speaking about it today, it was just a little over a year ago from today sometime in early February of 2018 a Friday night that I’m sure of because my girlfriend at the time had been over which meant she didn’t have work the next morning and is a big part of the encounter but I’ll get to that later, it was roughly around 9pm central time and like I said early February in Wisconsin so as you may know it can get pretty cold here in winter. This encounter specifically happened at my parents house in southeastern Wisconsin on fairly large plot of land often referred to as the middle of now where. And at the time it had only been my mother and I living at the house as my father passed away in 2014. I was just getting ready for bed with my (ex)girlfriend and just had to take a shower and would be ready to do so.
Now, keep in mind to start with neither my mother or girlfriend at the time were much for jokes or pranks for one, and secondly with it being February in Wisconsin it was something like -2 with windchill that weekend as I recall so I knew the likelihood of either of them to behind this all is extremely low. Well anyways after I got out of the shower I started drying off and suddenly heard, “TIN TIN TIN” like when you tap a larger window pane real fast. But only this tapping was so incredibly thick and heavy sound it sent a shock of fear straight to my core. I quickly tried brushing it off by telling myself it was probably just my girlfriend trying to get me out of the shower but when I had come back into the room before I could even tell her about what had just happened, she looked at me with fear in her eyes and anger in her voice saying why would you do that to me, I replied, “do what?” She then said exactly what I feared she would say and says, “tap on the window and try to scare me like that!!” As soon she said that I got dressed as fast as I could and told her to get dressed as fast as possible and we got into my car and I drove 25 minutes to her moms house with her to spend the night there.
Til this day this experience haunts me and I constantly think about how I wish I would’ve had the courage to pull up the blinds and see what it was, but a part of me is really happy I didn’t. Well that’s pretty much the jist of my encounter and I hope it doesn’t end up being a waste of your time, I love the show and would love to be on and get the chance to talk to you directly over the phone to fill you in fully of all details, once again thanks for everything you do and love the show!”
