What looked like a large stump stood up and walked off

A listener writes “I wanted to tell you about my encounters. First off I live in Canada’s smallest province Prince Edward Island and I had my first encounter back in 1997 or so it was summer time around august I believe.

Every night before I went to bed I use to walk my old dog along a dirt path between a grain field and a potato field right up to the tree line and a small stand of trees anyways everything was normal until I got close to the tree line and then my dog started to act weird she was yelping and crying and sunk right low on her belly with her tail between her legs I thought what is wrong with her because she never did this before it was then that I heard movement along the tree line.

I looked over and what looked like a large stump or a small spruce tree stood up and walked into the small stand of trees!! I took off running back home as fast as I could all the while I could hear a whooping kinda like the sound you use to play in the old intro for your show coming from the trees it changed my life for both good and bad. To this day I wont go near the woods at night not for a million dollars.

My second sighting happened in the province of New Brunswick I was hitch hiking to Ontario because there was not much work here on PEI for a young man at the time anyways I’m not sure of the exact location of my sighting because it was 330 in the morning and I have never been out of my home province by myself until then all I know is it was before Fredericton New Brunswick.

I was walking along I haven’t seen a car in a while it was 330 in the morning it was cloudy so it was fairly dark but I could see a fair ways around me as I was coming to the end of a large wood lot along my left side there was a hay field with those big round hay bales in it and the bale that was closest to the woods there was something standing next to it god it was at least 2 feet taller than the bale and it was rocking from side to side and it was really black like blacker than the night almost if that makes sense I got this really creepy feeling from it and started running down the road now.

Thank you for your time Wes and please feel free to contact me if you would like to know more about my encounters and once again I apologize for my poor grammar and spelling.”
