Responding to your comments from the last show and we will be chatting with Mike. Mike writes Tonight we will take a look at your comments from the last show. Mike writes “I have property in the Allegheny National Forest and over the past 10 – 12 years I have had three interesting situations take place, none of which I would have thought could be connected to one another until I stumbled upon your podcast.
Around 10-12 years ago prior to having a cabin built I was going to my property to clear trees, determine where the cabin was to go, leveling a spot on the hillside and in general taking the steps necessary to prepare for building a cabin. I would go up on Friday after work and spend the weekend in my tent. On one particular day (Juy I believe) I had worked into the night, it was probably around 10pm when I quit working and began to relax, I started a fire and made dinner. A few hours later, midnight, maybe 1am as I sat by the fire enjoying the peacefulness of the woods I heard a tremendously loud WHOOOP coming from the ridgeline to my east.
My camp sits on the east side of the Tionesta creek between two ridge lines that parallel the Creek. The creek sits at 1300′ elevation, the ridgelines paralleling it are at about 1800′ elevation and my camp around 1400′ elevation.
The Whooop I heard sounded as it it came from on top the ridgeline on my side of the river (400′ up), and was probably no more than 50 yards to the south (downstream) of my position, it was loud, REALLY LOUD, had it been a threatening yell at that volume I probably would have packed up and left!
The strangest part of the Whoop was the end of it. This is probably at the height of the Finding Bigfoot show that was on television at the time, I enjoyed the show and had heard Bobo and the cast do many hollers and whoops, but this one had a different ending to it that I find extremely difficult to try to reproduce. It was a WHOOOP that ended with a backwards (inhaling) POPing kinda sound. It was like a “WHOOOOP-WWHHOP” It was so loud! it sounded kinda like a fish gulping at air at the water’s surface, very, very loudly.
II have told many people the story since then, but the part that I remember most vividly is how that whoop ended, the sound was like nothing I have ever heard before or can reproduce.
Since then the cabin has been built, there is a deck detached from the cabin nearly 80’ below the cabin that sits about 20′ above flat ground that extends 100’ to the creek that is nearly 100’ wide then the ground rises very steeply up to the ridgeline opposite the cabin. The flat spot is cleared of trees leaving the lower deck about the only place I can get a cell reception, so the lower deck is where I go to communicate with my wife when she is not with me.
It was just a year ago, last summer I had been sitting on the lower deck roughly around 9 or 10 pm and had finished texting with my wife and was just stargazing. I had noticed that there was a routine pattern of commercial airplanes traveling from the west and heading pretty much due east. These planes would come into view high above ridgeline to the west, then disappear overhead as they became obscured by the trees and ridgeline behind me to the east. I watched these planes appear at fairly regular intervals for probably an hour (it was a very clear starry night). Then slightly to my left (south west) coming from immediately above the tree line across the river a glowing white ball of light appeared. It was not projecting light, but appeared to be illuminated internally. From my perspective it appeared to be just above the tree line and about the size of a cantaloupe. The light moved smoothly in a straight line, no flashing or blinking, just a steady glow slowly gliding across the clearing between the ridgelines over the river in a slight southeast line until it disappeared above the trees behind me heading in the exact direction that would lead directly to where the location of the WHOOOOP-WWHHOP had taken place around 10 years prior. As it had passed overhead and became obscured by the canopy I remember feeling strangely unsettled and nervous. I made my way uphill following and trying to catch a glimpse of it between the sparse openings in the canopy of trees, but I did not see it again. I returned to the cabin still feeling really weird, almost nauseous. That feeling stuck with me for a few hours that night.
So, August 3rd, 2024, just a couple months ago I was again on the deck below my cabin and had finished communicating with my wife, sitting there relaxing and enjoying the sounds of nighttime it was 9:42 pm I text my wife again and told her something along the lines of “I’m using this as a timestamp incase the aliens wipe my mind” her reply was along the lines of “go to bed LOL”…
This is what happened that evening:
We had quite a bit of rain for days prior to my arrival at the cabin. With the high humidity and hot days, at nighttime the area was completely masked by a heavy fog rising into the air off of the river and damp surroundings. Generally, I could see the creek 100′ away either by the moonlight or my headlamp, but that night it was just a white wall of fog limiting my vision to less than 20′. .
So, the sky was cloudy/foggy, there was not a single star to be seen anywhere. Then out of nowhere, slightly to my left between the two ridgelines a pale orangeish glowing orb appeared, it was much higher than the top of the ridgelines, but nowhere near high enough to have been a star peeking in from between clouds. It remained motionless and just sat there glowing internally, not illuminating externally, just a steady dull orangish glowing light.
Coincidentally I just came across “Out there: Crimes of the Paranormal Season 1 Episode 2”, and at 8 minutes and 11 seconds in there is an almost identical sighting recorded, it’s more of a diamond shape than the circle I had seen, but it’s the same color.
Anyway, I had my phone with me, the thought of taking a picture never entered my mind, rather I used a star tracker app to try to figure out what star it could possibly be that I was looking at (knowing damn well it was nowhere near high enough to be a star). I messed with the app, going back and forth looking at this light, looking at the app, to the sky, to the app, to the sky, app, sky, app, sky… for about 20 minutes until I finally gave up and set the phone down, I looked at the orb and said aloud “ok, I see you, you have my attention, now show me” and before I could finish my sentence (“something else”) about 200 yards downstream (my left) the sound of multiple coyotes erupted making all kinds of crazy yips and barks. They continued making these sounds and sounded as if they were moving in a direct line, in the middle of the river upstream against the current. That would not have been possible for them to do, they did not sound like they were in the brush on the opposite side of the river or on my side of the river, they sounded like they were in the middle of the river. They continued yipping and barking as they moved upstream covering about 100 yards in a matter of just a few seconds.
At that time I then said (in my mind, not out loud!) “ok, wow, coincidence, how about” and again before I could think “another one” the coyote sounds abruptly stopped and turned into the sound a pig snorting. it was not squealing in terror as if chased by coyotes, it was simply snorting like a pig in a pen at a county fair. It picked up right where the coyote sounds stopped and it continued to move upstream at the same rate of speed as the coyote sounds, snorting calmly the entire way for another 100 yards in just a few seconds till it was practically directly in front of me. At this point I again said (in my head) “ok, wow, how about…” and before I could complete my sentence again “one more”, the snorting abruptly stopped and it transformed into a crow’s caw that continued to travel upstream at the same rate of speed, cawing the entire time for another 200 yards before it stopped.
I was amazed, astonished, overwhelmed and completely flooded with emotion like I had not felt anything like since my son’s birth. I was in complete elation..
I turned my head back toward the orb and said out loud “Thank You”, but the orb was gone! Nowhere to be seen.
I know coyotes exist in that area, pigs? it’s possible, I understand wild hogs are probably everywhere, but I have never heard of any in the area, and crows are not nocturnal as far as I know… and neither the coyotes, or the a pig could possibly be moving upstream in the river at the depth and rate of flow it was currently at. Had it been a pack of coyotes after a pig and a crow, I imagine it would have sounded much differently!
This orb had been sitting motionlessly, directly along the line of travel from the orb I had seen a year prior moving between the ridges, both of which are in line with the location of the strange Whoopwwhhop sound I had heard 10 years earlier.
Correlation? I have no clue, but the last encounter certainly has had me thinking about it almost every single day since. In my opinion, I am certain the animal sounds I had heard were not coming from actual coyotes, pig or crow. it was a performance provided by the orb, intended for me. I don’t know why I was so fortunate, but the interruption and completion of my sentences with audible projections was far too weird of a situation for me to believe otherwise.
So, that evening, when the orb was gone I was left feeling completely overwhelmed with emotion, that is when (9:42pm) I sent my wife the text “I’m using this as a timestamp incase the aliens wipe my mind” so that if by chance I were abducted and awoke with no relocation of the evening’s event that she might remind me of it!”
