The Gilgamesh Artefacts

A cultural artifact, or cultural artefact, is a term used in the social sciences, particularly anthropology, ethnology and sociology for anything created by humans which gives information about the culture of its creator and users.

DTTV Archaeology Answers writes “Amazingly, it was a self-taught Sumerian scholar was responsible for finding, what many believe is, the world’s oldest and most important ancient texts discovered among broken clay tablets in the British Museum. After being lost for 2000 years, the epic story was originally discovered in the ruins of the library of Ashurbanipal in Nineveh. Written in cuneiform on 12 clay tablets, the story itself is believed to be at least 4000 years old.”
