A listener writes “Wes, I just listened to your episode “does sasquatch have a language “. I had an experience last September by Hayward, WI. that I thought was interesting.
My wife and I were renting a home outside of Hayward, kind of remote but a few houses around it. I woke up in the middle of the night and went outside to check something in my boat which was outside. As soon as I get outside I hear an owl, no big deal. But at the end of the “who who” was a growl. I almost went right back inside. That call was to my right.
A few seconds later was the same call but to my left. These calls went back and forth for several minutes all ending with growls. I did check my boat and hustled back inside. It took awhile to get back to sleep as I was anticipating something at the window or a rap on the house. I should add that before we went to bed that night we had a fire out behind the house. I was making “whoop ” calls and doing tree knocks. I did not see anything but my wife and I did hear knocks in response to mine.
