James writes “Hey Wes, Wanted to tell you about an experience I had just outside of Blue Ridge Georgia.
My wife and my daughters and I took a family trip to Blue Ridge over Thanksgiving weekend back in 2022. We were staying in a cabin that we found on air b&b. It was remote and it was a beautiful place. On the way into to area I stopped at a local Bigfoot museum because I have always been interested in this type of phenomenon. I met some people that told me there was some encounters in that area.
The cabin was very quiet and surrounded by woods. I figured I’d try to walk out there and stir some things up to see if I could see or hear anything. Big mistake. I went out into the woods close to 200 yard away from the cabin. I had a flashlight and a thermos of coffee. I walked out and found a small clearing and decided to do some tree knocks. I did a couple and listened and didn’t hear anything. I tried a 2nd time and the woods went quiet and I couldn’t hear anything like crickets or frogs. The 3rd time I hit the tree something responded. Whatever responded hit the tree with more force and louder than I was hitting it.
Chills went up my spine. I listened for a few minutes and decided to do a “whoop” and then it felt like everything went dark. The woods seemed darker and colder than they were when I walked out. I heard what sounded like stomping out in front of me about 100 yards. I couldn’t see what it was at all. I hit the tree again and made a loud grunting sound and it seemed like that may have made whatever it was angry cause I heard a long deep kinda roaring type sound that did not sound friendly. Then I heard a loud whistle but it wasn’t in front of me, it was on my right side. Then I decided to whistle back and at that moment a rock was thrown and hit the tree right next to me.
I then did another tree knock and a yell and that’s when I heard the walking again. I then shined my light directly in front of me and that’s when I saw the eyes. They were looking out from behind a tree. At that moment I realized I did not have anything to protect myself and began to walk backwards out of the woods. It seemed that the 2 of them were following me cause I kept hearing breathing and 2 different sounds of stomping in the woods. I got back to the cabin and could hear whistling and knocks through out the night.
The next day I went back out in the day time to look around and could not find any tracks. I did see some signs that something had been through there because of how the smaller trees were broken and where they were broken. Later that night I had fell asleep on the couch in the living room because there was a sliding glass door that and I was afraid that they may come to the cabin. Something hit the back deck and it woke me up and I ran outside and heard the whistles and looked and a rock had hit the deck. I would not have been able to pick the rock up with 2 hands much less thrown it.
I stayed up the rest of the night sitting out on the back deck and could hear walking and groans and whistling around the woods in the cabin but could never see anything definitive like I did the first night. The next morning we left the cabin and went back home to southeast Georgia.”
