A listener writes “On the night of July 16, this year I was visited by someone or something that left oily dirty handprints on the side of my truck while I was sleeping in it, camping along the Buffalo River in Arkansas.
Normally when you touch a vehicle that has some dirt on it already, you wipe it off. Try it on your own. This LEFT dirt.
I am from Texas, and did not notice the handprints until I got home and woke up the next morning and saw the prints. I started shaking as the events of that night came flooding back to me and all I could do was stare in disbelief.
It was a Thursday night. I was alone, sleeping in the back of my truck at Kyle’s Landing, about 100 feet off the bank of the Buffalo River. I had my truck bed cover pulled about half way closed, and my head was under it, with my feet toward the tailgate.

About 10:00 or so a large bird landed just above my head on the bed cover, then flew off. I figured it was an owl and drifted back off. Then about midnight, something bumped my tailgate, I looked over and saw something ducking down and away at the corner by the tail light. I thought the owl had returned, and I sat up a minute, then went back to sleep. However, I did notice a bad odor, like wet dog and feces, but thought maybe it came from the outhouse about 100 yards away. But as I think back, the wind was coming from the opposite direction at the time. I remember it gently blowing in my face when I sat up.
Please have a look at the picks and let me know what you think. The right hand and the left hand are reversed. It looks like the perpetrator had his hands behind his back and leaned against my truck, maybe to hide when I sat up to look around.”
