A listener writes “I was never a believer of sasquatch but the small area that my wife grew up in where cows outnumber people, there has been sightings. My wife told me many years ago that sasquatch is real and I laughed at her.
She never brought it up again until she was able to say I well…do you believe me now. I’m an avid outdoorsman and the woods around that area are different. Unnatural breaking, snapping and twisting of trees that has no explanation. I’d say bear but there was no claw marks. Constant feeling of being watched and draining of my energy. Note while in the woods you become drained and tired but, when you leave you feel as if you get your pep back. People in that area have rules about locking up the houses, closing all blinds and not going outside after dark especially in the woods. They say somethings in the woods and I thought everyone in this area was crazy.
I was sitting on the back screen porch at my father in laws and I was listening to the woods. So many sounds of night life came to a sudden silence. I heard heavy bipedal footsteps in the leaves behind the tree line. Then it ran and when it stopped I heard the sound of a screaming rabbit. Ok, I cant explain the footsteps but maybe a coyote got the rabbit. After several days I had began to notice a pattern with the noises in the woods. Approximately 9:15pm-9:30pm several drumrolls on trees can be heard. I believe that it is the wakeup call. I hear it from all directions, random tree knocks all around. One night I heard 4 vocalizations. Whooping back and forth like primates. Another time I was overcame with a foul smell. It was a blend of wet dog, bo, feces, and dry leaves or earth. My friend I decided to investigate this ourselves. The creatures in question are believed to be nocturnal so I was equipped with night vision. We camped there.
Friday June 5th 2020. My friend I entered the woods and the first thing he noticed was the tree breaks and bends. We also noticed what seemed to be signs. After we set up camp we decided to follow the tree breaks in the directions that they were pointing. We went through some of the thickest woods you can think of. At this point we were deep in the bush and we came across a nice neat bundle of jagger stems approximately 24-30 inches in length leaning on a fallen tree.
We went in that direction and it led us into a ravine that I believe is their water source. It was only about 5 inches deep but flowing and minus the micro organisms it looked clean. To our right there was what looked like a blind that had been set up made of branches leaves ect. I wanted to go that way because according to maps there should be openings to mine shafts past that point. For some reason my friend was uneasy about going past the blind and wanted to go left instead. Going up the hill to get out of the ravine we came across a large human like footprint impression in the earth.
At the top we found a structure that formed an x made of trees a human cannot move. Then we started hearing tree snapping sounds and footsteps pacing us. We were being tracked so we picked up our pace and came onto a game trail that lead straight to our camp. From then on we felt like we were being watched.
Around 9:15pm we heard tree knocking from 5 different positions surrounding our camp site. Approximately 1am we heard footsteps, twigs breaking, and leaves shuffling over there no over there wait all around. We thought perhaps a heard of deer was coming by but it was bipedal not quad. The sounds surrounded our camp. As we were scanning the trees with our lights we saw something large and hairy. When we shined the light back it was gone. My friend saw one squatted down in a different spot and the same deal the light goes back and its gone. The activity continued and around 3:30am I got out my night vision binoculars. I was scanning the trees and I saw one peaking around a large tree as if it was trying to hide from me. While I was watching this creature I noticed a ball floating around so I started watching that. The creature knew I was side tracked and decided to move. It laid down and very slowly crawled down the hill behind the thicker brush. The sounds of movement around our camp, tree knocking, whooping, and the sensation of being watched lasted till the sun came up. Yes they are primarily nocturnal.
Finally we get to sleep. When we woke up my wife called me on my cell phone and asked if my friend and I was hungry. We were away from our camp for about an hour and a half. On our way back we heard arguing as if a father was yelling at his son for acting up. It was not English but a really fast language. When we returned I noticed that my bag was dumped out and all my belonging gone through. Nothing was missing but was pissed on. A lot of piss. I got angry and laid in my hammock just to find out it was full of little black beetles that started biting me. My friend thought that was funny. Oh well back to work.
We stuck branches in the ground in multiple locations around camp and put apples on the tops. We had one trail camera so we set up a nice offering in the location of the camera. Night came and it was exactly like the night before. I laid in my hammock and watched the 1 apple I set really close on a down tree. Once again I saw the floating ball and when I looked back the apple was gone. I once again watched this same creature doing the same behavior. Cautiously playing peekaboo. While watching this one I heard to my left rear footsteps then urination. At first I thought it was my friend but that was a really long pee so I was like damn buddy you shouldn’t hold it that long and then I heard him move in his hammock.
It wasn’t him. I turned around in my hammock holding on with my right hand so I wouldn’t flip and in my left was my night vision binoculars. 5 were within 30 yards of us. One crouched down, one laying on its side, a smaller one standing there and 2 up the slope. They were eating the huge millipedes that were infested in the leaves on the ground. The larger one on the slope was looking at the lights coming in our direction from the woods and began to do a come on motion with his left arm as to say lets go now. They split. After that it was just the lights that looked like glowing binocular eyes. I want to know what was the lights and as big as they were why were they afraid of them to the point that they drop their food and run. The next morning we found several tracks. Ever since both of us have been doing a lot of research and we will be going back after getting better equipment.”
