A listener writes “I grew up in SW part of Louisville Kentucky, we lived a mile of two of a wooded hilly area that stretches for miles South and East. As a teenager we use to go-to a pond at the base of a hill togo swimming.
round an hour or two before dusk there was two or three of us left there. We heard something rustling about above the ridge. We thought some friends were trying to scare us. But as we were getting ready to leave a tall figure ran thru the trees 20-30 feet from the edge of the pond. We swam to the other side and ran all the way to the neighborhood. We heard something following halfway down then stopped.
A few years later we moved a few miles away and closer to the Ohio river. It was about 3-4 years after the first experience that I was camping along the bank by an old house and fishing in the middle of the night. I heard a whooping and clicking sound, down river on my side. After it stopped a response came from the Indiana side with wood strikes. It went on for an hour or two. This is where I heard most of my vocals
My second sighting was one crossing in front of me on Hwy 44 a few miles east of US31 just north of West point KY. It came out of the woods on the North crossed the road and across the field and gone in a flash.
My last sighting was on the Fort Knox Army Base. I was a volunteer firefighter. Our department was called out to assist on a field fire. 2 of us was on a perimeter road trying to get in front of the fire when the Male came out 50ft in front of us looked at us and then grunted then looked South towards the base. It huffed and huffed then a female came out he was approximately 9 to 10 foot she was approximately 6 and 1/2 to 7 ft she came out looked at us and across the road then two smaller juveniles came out about four and a half to 5 ft maybe 6 ft tall quickly cross the road he looked at us through his hands up and darted after the group. My partner and I looked at each other and in shock said did you just see what I saw?! I told him he thinks so but we better not tell nobody we kept it quiet for 15 years my friend passed away last summer so now I’m letting out now what we saw. I believe what we saw was a Sasquatch family trying to outrun the fire and heading to the hills on the other side of the salt River. As I said we did not let no one know not our superiors nor the base.”
